They did the job in a timely manner and it looks ok but they failed to pitch the patio away from my house and now I get standing water up against my house and now how basement water issues that I never had before. I have called them many times to try and fix the issues shortly after it was done since they have a "warranty." Good luck with them ever honoring their warranty. I have called them many times and they have "promised" many times to come and address our issues. They even had a couple guys come out and look at it and we came up with a plan to fix it. After that they never came back out again even after many times contacting them. So if you want to spend a good amount of money for the job to be done quickly but not correctly and never get it fixed these are your guys.

We were happily surprised when we got a quote and then they started working a few hours later. They worked super hard and well together as a team. I really liked how they all got along. We would love to hire them again!

This is the 3rd time using this great company we used them in the past for our Patio and our pool. We had our Driveway replaced by Biondo Cement and what a wonderful, easy going and fast process the whole experience was from start to finish. They completely finished the entire job in just 2 days and we are very happy. Would highly recommend this great compnay to all my family and friends.

This is the 2nd time we have had Biondo Cement work done at our home and we couldn't be happier with the way our driveway has turned out, it looks absolutely beautiful. From start to finish working with this team of guys has been nothing but professional, easy-going and they are very hardworking and get the job done. Would highly recommend this company if you have a cement job you are looking to have done. Biondo Cement is the best company out there by all means and easy to work with.

The work was done on time and looked good. Shortly after, it cracked. They came out and filled the cracks with caulk. There are now multiple cracks in many places. Even though it is still within their warranty period, they refuse to come out. Their response was, “ This is Michigan, concrete cracks.”

Biondo Cement is a Fantastic and easy company to work with. They installed a stamped concrete patio and walk way for us and we could not be happier with they way it all turned out, they did a great job and everyone was really easy to work with starting from the sales men to the crew, they are all very dedicated to the work they do and it shows in every detail of the completed patio. The patio is absolutely beautiful the quality is top notch and they provided outstanding service and workmanship, we couldn't be happier with our decision to use Biondo Cement. If you are looking to have any type of cement work done look no further! Biondo Cement is the BEST IN TOWN! Biondo Cement installed a stamped concrete patio in my yard in Shelby Township, MI. I could not be happier with the job. Starting from day 1 when the owner John came out to quote my job to the day the men came to do the job. EVERYONE was pleasant to work with and the crew did a Marvelous job! You can tell that John has very dedicated workers because it shows in every detail of the completed patio. I could not be happier with my decision to use Biondo Cement. I will recommend them to all of my family and friends!

Our neighbor and ourselves were looking to get stamped concrete patios at the same time. Biondo was the only company to respond to us out of 5 other companies, so we chose to go with them. A Biondo sales representative came out, measured our backyard, and quoted us accordingly to what we wanted. After our quotation we went to the Biondo design center and had our design made and to also choose our colors. We were very happy with the initial services provided. Before we left the design center, we even asked John Biondo himself what he thought of our design and he agreed it looked great and it was doable. We also have an egress window in the back yard and he said it would be no problem to take the patio around the egress window and make it level. Everything seemed to be good. Day of the pour I get a phone call saying that I need to pay extra to have the patio taken around the egress window and to make the patio level with the window. This frustrated me because it was agreed upon that this was possible to do for the quoted price when we had our design done. Although we were frustrated at this, we proceeded with the addition because they had already began the work. (NOTE: I was traveling for work, my wife was home during the construction). After the concrete had been laid, I received a picture from my wife and the first thing I noticed is that the patio design was incorrect. It looked exactly like the design our neighbors had chosen. When I called John asking about this, he kept dodging a response to my question, and these were his responses... - Kept saying he did me a favor for doing the work on the egress window and he did it for me and won't do it again, trying to make it seem like he was a hero for doing this and I should forget about the mistake that was made on his end. - Stated that sometimes changes need to be made on the fly and I wouldn't have been happy with our chosen design. Why wasn't this discussed with my wife before the decision to make the change to the design was made? - Stated it was my fault I was on a business trip and that I should have been there to oversee the work. I kept stating that these reasons are not valid reasons as to why the design was changed without the approval of my wife (who was home) and he kept returning to those same statements. Weather the design was changed on the fly or a mistake was made and our neighbors design was used for ours, they had our design on hand to go by and we did not receive this design. We are paying this company a lot of money for their expertise and professionalism and to provide us with the design we wanted. And for some reason if it cannot be done, we needed to know about it. We were not notified of this and when confronted we were given unprofessional responses and reasons as to why we did not get what we wanted. Although the quality of the final product turned out very good, the professionalism and business ethics of this company are poor. Our neighbors also had poor encounters with John and the secretary towards the end of their construction. They will be writing a poor review as well. The only reason why we did not rate this company an F is because the quality of the final product was very good and although the design is not what we wanted, we can still use the patio and it does look nice. We will not do business with or recommend Biondo Cement ever again.

Job was originally slated for end of May, early June. Called me on Saturday, April 15 and asked if they could do the job on Tuesday, April 18. Crew of 15 plus owner John Biondo came out and had the job poured in one day. Next day, crew of two power washed and saw cut. Friday had two more crew members staining and sealing. Driving on it a week later. Looks great. Very professional. Highly recommend. Price did seem high, but other bids were close. We did pay a little more to have a local company with a local office do the work. At least that way, if I have any issues, I have someone to visit instead of trying to track down someone on the phone.

The owner (John) came out to my house and was over 2 hours late for an estimate. He provided a quote, and based on what appeared to be a reasonable price, I scheduled my job. Then about a week before the work was scheduled to occur, John called me and told me my job was too small, and he was not going to do the work. He was unapologetic, rude and totally disrespectful. This ended up causing me a 6 week delay before I can get another company to do the work. I would not trust John or Biondo Cement - they are bad business people, and have no ethics.

My wife scheduled a visit for a quote. Joe came out and gave us a detailed quote. He was very good, complete, punctual. We had other quotes but decided on Biondo due to seeing other jobs of theirs and recommendations from friends. My wife gave them a deposit of $1000 and booked the date for the job. It was about 3 weeks out. That was the last contact we had with them until the day of the job when the crew showed up at about 7:30am and got right to it. They tore out the old concrete and laid the new concrete the same day. The crew leader told me that they would be back the next day to saw cut and clean up and they did. The crews on both days were very good. Everyone knew their jobs, there was no vulgarity, which was a concern because I had grandchildren watching the whole day. Very professional group. I am hiring them again in the spring to put in a stamped concrete patio. Great job.

Great job! Very professional work. They worked very quickly and efficiently. The quality of work was very good. They sent a crew out that did a great job of cleaning everything up afterward. We had to call the office ourselves a few times to narrow down the date of construction. That said, we would definitely use their services in the future and would recommend them due to the quality and professionalism of their work. The owner(s) are on site for the work.

First of all they do not return phone calls. Mike Biondo is apparently the owner of the company and at first he was very nice, gave me a very reasonable price and I felt comfortable with them. The estimate was done in March 2014 and I put a deposit down, they promised to call me as soon they were scheduling jobs for the year. As time went by I didn't hear from them so I called them and they told me they were booked until middle of June. This was a little aggrivating but not a deal killer, they also did this to my neighbor because we signed with them at the same time. As more time went by I tried to find out when I would choose colors and other options and it was impossible to get a hold of them or have anybody call me back. When I finally did, the secretary just told me to come in on a saturday when Mike would be around so I did. I choose the colors and options after waiting for a long time and went over the details of the job with Mike himself. My parents were with me for this and experienced this as well. After that, other times I tried to contact them were the same as before, completely impossible to get a hold of. On the day of the job I took the day off of work, my neighbor and I were supposed to be getting the job done on the same day. Mike did not come but sent his cousins crew instead, which was fine, I understand a company has multiple crews. They came and started my neighbors house first. Then when they were starting to mark out my job his cousin had an estimate sheet that looked different than mine. He wanted to charge me over $1000 more than what I was quoted for for exactly the same items that were written on the sheet and we agreed on. I told him to call his cousin Mike because I was not fine with this. He called and I talked to Mike myself upon which he said that it would also be more money. We went back and forth and his cousin said that he didn't want to do my job anymore even after I agreed to give them more money. The worst part of this is that while he was at my neighbors house he was yelling derogatory marks about me which included calling me a motherf*cking j*w. My neighbor was a direct witness to all of this and can vouch that this happened. I found out later that they also wanted more money from him for his job and another neighbor told me that Biondo cement asked them for $600 more money on they day of their job as well. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor... period.

So VERY DISAPPOINTING Estimate, signed contract, paid deposit on June 5, 2014. Work scheduled to begin on July 7, 2014. After waiting these 6 weeks, the crew showed up at 2:30 in the afternoon - looked at the job and said they would not do it because there was and quot;too much handworkand quot;. We offered to pay more than the estimated price, but they refused to do the job. If they had said the job was not what their company does at the beginning I would have moved on to another company - but having waited 6 weeks to find out ... well, I am not happy at all. The company I have contracted with after this fiasco is also 6 weeks out, so the project that should have been completed at the beginning of July will not be done until the end of August. Deposit was returned within 5 days - but I can't get the time back (and can't save the landscape plants that were and quot;temporarilyand quot; removed to accommodate the project). Would NOT RECOMMEND and would be extremely wary if your project is at all complicated.

Removed 2000 sf concrete from two car driveway, side-turn 3-car garage, and front walkway. Installed crush concrete base for all. Poured, floated, and brushed 6-bag mix concrete the same day as removal. Saw cut control joints the next day and did a complete, power wash and clean-up of the job site. Two year warranty. Excellent finished look. John Biondo, Owner was on-site and the team lead for the entire job. He said, "I'll take care of you, if we remove, I'm not going to leave you open...we'll pour as soon as we can...you'll be surprised." I was stunned at the teamwork, the talent, and the artistry of this group performing very difficult work. It's understandable that during peak season companies may not be able to respond to small jobs. Biondo Cement was in my subdivision doing a very similar job and I asked for a quote. They came over the same day since it was easy to mobilize their nearby large team of 10-12 men and six vehicles. If you want an average job call anyone or try this hard work yourself. Biondo Cement, Inc did a superb job and I recommend them without reservation.

Called and made an appointment to get a stamped concrete patio quoted. Had to wait a week to get someone to come out. Day of the appointment, they called and left a message to see if they could come early. When I returned the call later that afternoon, I was told they tried to come early due to the rain, and that I could email the representative the info on what we wanted. I emailed detailed info of what we were looking for that same day. 48 hrs later, I had no response. I called the representative and was told he'd get me a quote that day. I got an email from another person in the office saying they were too busy to even quote my job. This process took over a week and I'm no closer to getting the project finished.

We had scheduled a meeting with Biondo. Nino came out, and it was awesome. He gave us some really great ideas, told us what not to do, and what to consider, in my mind he really went way beyond just getting a number and then getting on with things. I felt really comfortable with everything. He was late, but he called ahead ot let us know, and we were in no hurry so that was nice to have a call on what to expect. After he left, we decided to change things up a bit, the original design was nice but we wanted something a little different. What I found strange, there was no followup to get the quote signed or a deposit put down. The complete opposite of sales pressure, there was just.... .... silence. Anyway, we decided to send an email to Biondo with the dimensions of the new layout. Nothing, but an email from the office saying: - I will give this information to Nino this morning and he will contact you as soon as he gets a chance today. Thank you for contacting Biondo Cement - Im sorry that Nino has not gotten back to you yet. I will leave a message for him to get back to you about the quote. - Betty our day secretary left Nino a message to contact you. If you haven’t heard back from in in a couple of days. Please give us a call back and iwe’ll contact Nino again. Thank you for your patience. After a few more emails, I got a short email saying that 'John' looked at our plan and gave us a price, 45% higher per square foot than the original. I emailed back asking why that would be and got a standard response. My second tought on this was this might be a bait and switch... provide a low ball quote for a standard design and then ramp it up for those who want something more than a plain rectangle of concrete. I have 3 other emails asking for Nino to contact us. I then decided to explain that obtaining customers is expensive, and difficult and wanted to know if I had to beg to get a call back. I was again told now, 15 days later, that Nino would call back. Nothing. So it's been 15 days, and nothing, at all. I would like to give them my money, but it seems impossible. I don't know if this is because they are to busy and have more work than they can handle or not, but it's stretches the bounds of credibility that they are this dis-organized.

The crew was great and overall did a nice job for the work preformed. The reason I would not use this contractor again and am giving them F's for Responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism is they say they guarantee their work for 2 years, but try to get them to come out or even return a phone call is a joke!!! The area we had replaced next to our patio cracked in two places over the winter. My husband has called them 4 times and every time they say oh John hasn't called you yet? Nope still no call!!! Also they say they don't have our paperwork on file. What a total scam we gave them a deposit and then when we wrote the final check after patio was finished, they had me make it out to cash, which I should have never done because now all I have is a check for $3800 made out to cash with a personal signature on the back with no recourse! They talk a good game but don't stand by there guarantee!!!!!

This is supplement to my prior posting which explained that the sales rep did not measure the job and that we had not heard back from the company in over 3 weeks. Within four hours of posting my comments, the company's office manager called to say they had the quote ready and they wanted to come out to go over it. I find it amazingly coincidental that the call comes right after I posted something on Angie's list, especially since Angie sends copies of the comments to the service provider. Maybe coincidence, but I have my doubts. Anyway, I returned their call and asked for the figures over the phone, since I had waited so long (and every other contractor had either called or email their quote). Interestingly, they could not find the quotes anywhere in their office. I explained that we were very close to making a final decision and the office manager promised to immediately email the quotation. That was over a week ago and, of course, there has been NO email.....NO follow-up phone calls....nothing! As I posted before, Biondo may do great work, but I will never know since getting them to quote a job can be VERY frustrating. It must be nice to have so much business that you can totally blow off a $25,000 customer.

Upfront review of job estimate was excellent. Estimator discussed their standard practices of what was included in their scope of work, had photos and stamp pads to show us the actual patterns. He made really nice suggestions with adjusting the patio shape to match the lines of the house, color recommendations and patterns. We were told it would be a two day process to prep, pour/stamp, saw cut and seal the new patio. We discussed the work backlog and when we could expect the work to be completed (2 weeks) . When we called back the following week to schedule the work, we were then advised the work would be scheduled 4 weeks out - not 2 weeks as we were originally advised. They agreed to target a three week completion. The quality of the work was excellent and we are delighted with the quality of the work performed. The significant negative experience that we can provide feedback on was a lack of follow-up and communication from Biondo with us concerning this job. The workcrew on the first day called and advised that they would not be arriving until noon rather than the original 9 am start time. This turned out to be the only proactive communication that we received from Biondo. First, we were advised on the first day of work that the two day process was actually required three days: Day 1 (Wednesday) - Site prep, Pour and Stamp Day 2 (Thursday) - Sawcut Day 3 (Friday) - Apply Sealer Biondo performed the scheduled activities for Days 1 and 2, but did not show up to seal the job on Day 3 - no call, we called Biondo late in the day on Day 3 and left were told that they would come out Saturday (Day 4) to Seal. No one showed up Saturday during the day and we called Biondo and were advised that someone would come out Sunday (Day 5). On Monday (Day 6), my wife called Biondo and asked to speak with the owner about the poor follow-up with no communication which had resulted in the delay in completing the work and was preventing us from moving our Firepit set onto the new patio. She left a message for the owner to call. We did not receive a call from the owner nor anyone else from Biondo, but on Tuesday (Day 7) sometime during the course of the day - the patio was sealed. Again, we are very pleased with the quality of work - we were disappointed with the communication and lack of follow-up from Biondo.
