Excellent on-time service. Contractor showed up on time as scheduled. Very straightforward and explained everything that needed to be fixed. Very fair price as well.

In my experience, there is nothing not to like about this company! Ricky Lane, the owner, came to our house in Durham to estimate the need and cost. He was friendly and informative, and he offered a very competitive price. We scheduled a time after New Year's in 2023. The work crew was very professional. They replaced soft or rotten decking, covered decking with a waterproof underlayer, and installed the shingles of our choice. Afterwards they picked up every last nail. It's been five months since then, and everything is fine.

Terrible, roof leaked around chimney, damaged sheet rock in living room and garage took them 12 weeks to get here, I had to hire another roofing company. This was during the rainy season, you can only emagine.

Great! Lane's Contracting kept me informed of any changes on my schedule date, they also let me know prior to my materials arriving. Was able to have the roof removed and installed in 1.5 days! Awesome work! Also, had a window installed and Gerardo was excellent to work with . I would definitely refer all of my friends and family to Lane's Contracting for any roofing, siding or window projects!

Very responsive, quick appointment, on time, polite. Ricky even told me that I could order a replacement sash directly and replace it myself in the movable pane of a single hung unit. Where there were fixed panes in similar units, he said he would have to replace the entire window, and the one next to it as well because the two windows were assembled as one unit. He said that replacing the double pane glass unit inserts was not possible in the fixed sashes. I emailed him additional information about the windows after he left as requested and challenged his advice after removing the glass from one of the fixed sashes myself. I never received a quote or a response to my emails. I have since hired a company who ordered the glass I need and will soon install it in all of the windows necessary. I feel like Ricky's advice was deceitful or ill informed. It was certainly wrong in either case.

Prior to the appointment I received an email that Otto would be in the area on a certain date. I responded to the email but did not get a response. I phoned the company multiple times and received a virtual assistant. I requested and finally received a return email that again stated Otto would be in the area on a certain date. After multiple attempts to get a real response (as opposed to an auto generated response), I finally heard from Otto via email on 10/23/18. He said he was busy but scheduled an appointment for 11/6/18. On the day of the scheduled appointment, Otto was a no show, no call. There has been no follow up on the missed appointment. This is not the kind of vendor I expect to see on Angie's List. I never found another suitable vendor.

They are a very professional company and they provide a great service from start to finish.

They did a good job. It took them not quite 2 days to complete the work. They cleaned up everything and even our neighbors have commented on the new roof roof. They did a good job and their work is guaranteed for up to 50 years.

It was exceptional. They communicated well, the crew is professional and cleaned up well. It was overall great experience.

Very pleased with our experience. Price was fair, crew was prompt and hard working. In order to get the job done in one day, additional workers were called out in the afternoon. Still, the job was done and cleaned up by day's end. There were a few items found to be addressed at the walk around the following morning and those were handled by the end of that day.

Pauls team(s) did an excellent job. My wife and I are very pleased with the work, the cleanup afterward and the materials chosen for the job. Paul used Owens Corning for the shingles which look great!.

Excellent. Otto and his crew were very responsive. Quality was top shelf. I used this contractor because of his Angie's reputation and he exceeded expectations.

This was an estimate basically for re-roofing my house. I went with another provider.

The project was completed quickly and on schedule. Mr Otto is quite attentive and friendly. He responded to our inquiries quickly and was sure to clear up and questions or concerns we had during the process. The crew was quiet, neat and efficient. They left our home looking better than when they arrived. I would certainly use Otto's Exteriors for our next project.

There's been a run of roof replacements in our neighborhood and we've been approached multiple times by companies in the neighborhood doing the replacements. I called Otto's since I had not seen them doing work in the neighborhood and asked them to check the roof. I received an email response within minutes of filling out their online form. Someone came out and explained that most of these replacements are likely unnecessary. He also pointed out that we already have very high quality shingles and he would not replace them anytime soon. I appreciated the responsiveness, honesty, and professionalism even though it didn't yield them any business.

Paul was very responsive to my online request and we quickly set up a time for a quote. Upon arriving at my home, he could tell immediately that our project was not right for his company. Instead of trying to sell me something we didn't need, he was upfront and professional. Although he was not the right contractor for this project, I will not hesitate to contact Otto's for another project.

I had a couple of delays, and when the day to install came around there was an possible storm hanging around which delayed the start. There was a contractor? other roofer? I thought it was the the job foreman for Otto's but I think this guy was an independent contractor. I don't know except that he told me that Otto was not his boss. To make a long story short, I never ever saw Otto , he never showed his face on the job-site when I was there. I found that a little odd. it did rain for about five minutes on the first day and I was told that they would come back and finish the next day.They told initially that there was probably three sheets of sheathing that would need to be replaced. I could not be there that day as I had to work and I was a little concerned when they told me they found a "lot" of rotted wood. This was after I talked to my wife on the progress. I was not texted nor called to update me on these developments and they would now have to replace seven sheets of sheathing. When I saw them replace part of the roof the day that I was there I saw zero rotted wood. granted the part that was replaced was not as steep of a pitch and I did finally see some pictures. What really irked me is that no one took any wide angle shots of the area to really show me what needed to be replaced. The other thing is that Terry told me he had to replace a piece of sheathing on the back side by the chimney. I went up in the attic and looked and I saw a small patch where they took out my vent but I did not see any new sheathing in this area. This makes me concerned because how do I know how much they really replaced if this was not done. Otto does not have any free sheathing replacement, if you need it it is sixty dollars a sheet. Otto did give me a break by allowing me to buy my shearing and charging me thirty dollars labor per sheet. The thing that bothers me most is that there is sheathing missing where it was supposedly replaced and I have to pay $120.00 extra for two sheets. So it went from three sheets to seven...that to me is not even close. Otto's was fairly priced but If not for this sheathing fiasco I would be able to give Otto a good review...except that you will never see him except at the quote and to collect the money. I would probably choose a company that offers a a few sheets free instead.

Crew was on time every day. After several weather delays, the started on the roof. Found some bad spots in roof sheeting and they replaced the ply there. Took two days but the second day was quick; got the main house roof done and then knocked out the storage shed roof shingles. Looks great!! Crew was courteous and on time, did what they said they would do, and cleanup was excellent. DEFINATELY would rehire as well as recommend to anyone!

Otto's exteriors gave me a detailed quote, links to materials used, and a guide to what to expect during the re-roofing process. The crew arrived at 7am sharp as scheduled, and Mr. Otto came out to talk about the job with me and his foreman. The crew worked a hard 12 hours but got the roof done in a day. It looks great, and they did an excellent job of cleaning up. Mr. Otto came out the next day for a walk-around to ensure the job was satisfactory. I would highly recommend this company for roof replacement.

Very well. Finished on the same day. Twin's Trane system bid was substantially below other bids. Personable owner did the installation, a welcome change from some of the corporate operations.
