Called out for an emergency, was the first to answer and came out promptly. I was able to take the offending door off its hinges before he arrived to remove the padlock, so only charged me a partial call-out fee for a Saturday morning. I thought that was fair as he was about 5 minutes away.

Benjamin was awesome. He was able to come to the house within hours of my call. He was professional and knew his stuff. He rekeyed all the locks within an hour and gave me all new keys. I would highly recommend him and I would use him again.

Ben came over the same day that we called him. It wasn't an emergency, but he was able to fit us in. We had tried to disassemble our front door lock as it had started to stick recently, not allowing us to open the door. When we tried to put it back together, we were unable to do so, and the tumbler had been stuck in the lock. Ben came over, took the lock apart, put it back together and reinstalled the lock in our door. He was extremely courteous and worked very efficiently.

Also viewed company's website but the blog they started on Sept. 30, 2014 hadn't been updated (no more recent posts). I'm a website designer and generally believe that if a website owner can't maintain updated information (no older than 4 months maximum), they should remove those features from the site. Because of the 7-month-old singular blog post, I couldn't know if the other information on the website was accurate for the present day or also 7-months old. This gave me a fairly negative impression of the company, despite the good (A, B) grades on Angie's List. However, most of the reviews I've read did not indicate whether this company routinely checks to ensure that the property to be worked on legally belongs to the people calling for service. This is a non-negotiable, deal-breaker in my book: There are too many instances where a stranger calls a locksmith to change the locks on your home (without your knowledge, of course), then suddenly you can't enter your own home but the thief has everything he needs to rob you blind whenever he wants! Note: According to their website, assuming all information is still accurate, they offer non-locksmithing services like boarding up homes, steel door installation, and property clean-out, which I found interesting. In the future, if I haven't already found a go-to locksmith, I might look up their contact information again if I encounter a situation when I need emergency locksmithing service, so I wouldn't say I'd never hire them.

Great job by Benjamin. All total, from the time I e-mailed him and spoke to him on the phone to job completion, one hour and a half. He was on time (early), assessed the job and performed the work. Very professional and friendly. Very good work - great job!

Benjamin was very prompt when we called him at 6:30 AM with a lock emergency on our business. He was there in less than 90 minutes and did the job quickly, reasonably, and he was a pleasure to work with. If you need a locksmith, call this guy. We will definitely be using him in the future.

Outstanding service. During my initial call to ask for assistance, before Benjamin answered, I had to hang up. Before I was able to call back within five minutes, I had already received a call from Always Open. I was able to make an appt for a time which was convenient for me during the afternoon. Benjamin called about 10 minutes prior the scheduled appt to say he might be 5 minutes late; however, he arrived on time. Benjamin was very professional, punctual, skilled and personable. He was able to resolve the initial issue (bolt wouldn't retract) and replace the lock within 15/20 minutes. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend Always Open Locksmith and plan to use them again in the future.

He arrived within 5 minutes of scheduled hour he stated. He assessed the problem and told me he didn't have exact replacement part and he could come back, or he could put in a different type of lock, but it would cost $30 more. No pressure, my option. This happened on a Saturday. I called Benjamin - he called back promptly and we arranged a time. He came right on time and changed the lock promptly and professionally. He was GREAT with communication and promptness! We highly recommend him.

Newly purchased house that had some very old doorknobs/locks. He informed me that two of the doorknobs were too old to even be rekeyed and needed to be replaced or use the old keys. Rekeyed or replaced doorknobs for all 6 locks on the house for one key access. Fast and reasonable! Would recommend

I called Benjamin a little after 9am on 4/26 and he was there to rekey my locks at 230pm the same! He was fantastic and even though my one doorknob was giving him trouble, he worked at it until he got it fixed. I feel much safer in my new home now! I felt the price was very fair.

Wonderful! Benjamin is a total professional. I called to set the appointment, and he was very patient as I tried to explain what I needed to have done, asked specific questions to clarify, and then quoted a price,and set an appointment that was convenient for my schedule. His website is also very informative. On the day of our appointment he called to tell me he might be running late, but then actually arrived a couple of minutes early, introduced himself, handed me his business card, and was very professional and personable. I showed him what I needed to have done,which turned out to be more than I had originally described. He gave me a couple of options, with prices. Benjamin was so easygoing and patient, and gave me exactly what I had wanted and for a very good price, I thought. He was also efficient. He worked quickly, but carefully, it seemed to me. One of the best experiences I have had with home repair, EVER.

After the Lowes DIY guy convinced me all deadbolts were the same size (WRONG) and I could install the new deadbolt in 10 minutes I had to call a locksmith to install a new lock. After removing the old lock I realized nothing on my door was a standard size. The old lock was broken and reattaching it to the door was impossible. Approximately 7pm I explained my situation and Ben stated he would be over at 8:30 pm. At 8:10 Ben arrived and drilled some new holes and installed a new deadbolt. I have an older wooden door with lots of glass and some metal trim. Ben took great care not to scratch or dent any part of the door. Great service. Great price New lock works great.
