Brandon and Gabriel and their crew are outstanding! They explained the process thoroughly and were very supportive and answered our questions. The crew worked tirelessly in the extreme heat. Clean up was done quickly and neatly. I would definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: Brandon Caldwell provided a reasonable cost estimate and an honest appraisal as to what work needed to be done. This project included replacement of several beams and numerous piers/pads under my 80 year old house. Johnny (the crew leader) answered all questions to my satisfaction throughout the project. Brandon and Johnny are easy to work with and impressed me as being honest and trustworthy.

My husband and I recently purchased a home and within the first month discovered a water leak coming from a basement wall when it rained. After removing the wall trim and some flooring, it was obvious the leak was not new and had been occurring for a long time. The previous owners didn?t disclose and we weren?t sure where the leak was coming from and had no clue on who to call for service. Did we have a drainage problem, slab leak, plumbing issue, or a foundation in need of repair? My husband and I were quickly able to rule out the slab leak and plumbing issue which left us with foundation and or drainage problem with existing French drains or something new. We used the Angie?s List search feature and found Brandon Caldwell. After reading his reviews I decided to give him a call. The first sign of good service is it?s in high demand. Brandon?s schedule was very busy and his services in high demand. He listened tentatively to our story and set a date to come out and take a look at the property. When Brandon came out, he observed a couple of potential issues which included top soil erosion and several gaps around the front porch and foundation which needed to be sealed. He also recommended we test the French drains to ensure there was no blockage occurring. What I liked instantly about Brandon is he knew from experience where to search for problems and his mind was left open to exploring all the possible ways water could leak into a house. I think most servicers would have sealed the leaks and said ?All done? only to find out weeks or possibly months later the leak was still there. So we made an appointment to retain Brandon?s services. When Brandon came out, he indeed refreshed our top soil around the house and graded the dirt. He sealed the gaps in both the foundation and porch. I also asked him to seal around our garage wall and drive way because we had some water seeping in when it rained and he gladly did that for us. After his work was done, he took the water hose and flooded the French drains to test drainage. After some time, the water started backing up. Instantly it was apparent whenever the rain was at a flash flood level of down pour, the French drain would back up to the porch and the water would enter through the foundation and porch leaks. Brandon recommended clearing the drains with a drain cleaner machine. So we did just that. What we discovered after a lot of work, is one of the drains was covered with dirt and overtime a tree root had climbed in the end in search of water. The tree root over years had grown to approximately 10 feet and accumulated dirt and leaves. Brandon check the remaining French drains and ran the drain cleaner through the lines to ensure there were no more blockages. After, he cleaned up the yard and made a nice gravel landscape around the newly rediscovered French drain exit pipe. There are so many great things I can say about Brandon but the most important, was he allowed me to participate in the process. I the information I learned was worth twice what he charged. I know where all my French drain pipes run and their condition. Brandon made sure everything I wished for was accomplished. I am confident with Brandon?s guidance the leak problem which had occurred for years is resolved. Brandon told me that leak problem if not address will lead to future foundation problems. Big thanks to Brandon and his helper Cody for all their help. I thought the job would be about two hours but ended up taking all day. Thank you for seeing it through to the end!

Description of Work: Leveled foundation, reinforced and straightened several beams, added some new piers and beams, and installed a root barrier. I dealt with Brandon and his Grandfather. I had initially called another foundation company for an estimate, but they couldn't get to my place for two weeks. When I called Urgent Foundation I had an appointment the next day. Brandon was thorough with his measurements and gave me alot of good advice about what was needed and what wasn't. Rain held up the repairs, but once the weather cleared the crew was on site and even came back on a Saturday to finish the job.

Clean up could have been better. Backyard gate left wide open and I live alone. Attention to detail could have been better. I was the one that put the rocks back in the front flower bed and the loveseat back in the sunroom. They did repaint the sunroom floor after the repair

Response from Urgent Foundation Repair
I am sorry yet surprised to hear that our customer was displeased with the work performed on her home. We made every effort to exceed her expectations, as we do with all of our customers. We did a great job getting her foundation leveled and stabilized. All the soil excavated was placed on tarps so the yard would be protected. Unfortunately we had heavy rain for two days while working which made the clean up process very difficult. We told her we would return to clean up better when everything dried out. We adjusted her shower door because it would not work due to being put in while the foundation wasn't level. We sanded down her bedroom door and adjusted the keeper on her back door to get them working properly. In addition, we painted the slab in the sun room after the repairs. None of which was in our agreement and was all done at no cost. The love seat was left out of the sun room so the floor could dry after we painted it. The gate was not left open but must not have latched good when we shut it. I apologize for that. We always take extra care of our customers homes, yards, and belongings. After the harsh soil conditions from Summer of 2012, the expansion joint connecting the garage to the house had developed a significant gap in it due to the clay soil drying and shifting. The frame of the garage door had also shifted, which was keeping the fly-away door from closing properly. I had also noticed doors on the inside of the house were sticking and that cracks were forming in the drywall. (All the doors were along the same wall running through the center of the house) After consulting with 2 other foundation companies and getting two entirely different proposals on what the issue/fix was (both of which were completely illogical and bordering on insane), I got in touch with Urgent Foundation and spoke with Brandon. I scheduled an appointment and had him inspect the house. Brandon showed up about 5-10 minutes early to our appointment and started looking at the house. After showing him the areas of concern that I had noticed, he began surveying my property. Based on my experience with the previous companies, I expected him to take around 45 minutes or so. He finished in 15 minutes, and then came back to me with a very clear and logical explanation of what was happening to my foundation. The front of the garage was dropping down and moving forward toward the street, while the back of the garage looked to be moving in toward the house. (He suspected it was due to previous foundation work by the last owner that could be failing) On the interior wall, he said it was actually a drainage issue that was causing water to get under the house somewhere and erode the soil away, leaving a void that the foundation was beginning to settle into and possibly explaining the pier issue he suspected in the garage. To address it, he suggested installing gutters on the back of the house and digging a trench for drainage so the water would run away from the foundation, then watching to see if the movement in the middle of the house stopped. (For the record, I just discovered earlier this month that he was 100% spot-on with the drainage diagnosis. The drainpipe for the washing machine has apparently been leaking for awhile without my knowledge and recently started seeping water into the house from under the baseboards. No telling how long it's been doing that, but Brandon was absolutely correct.) For the front of the garage, he wanted to install 7 piers on the affected section to stabilize it and close the gap on the expansion joint. After his initial evaluation, I'd like to say that what impressed me even more than his efficiency was the fact that he didn't rely on high-tech gadgets to do his job. He only needed basic tools because he knew what he was doing, and I detected no hesitation in his voice/demeanor at any point - something that speaks volumes to me. I approved the plan and scheduled the work to be done. Brandon scheduled a third party to install the gutters for me, and everything was done in such a way that I didn't have to take off work. His workers came out a few days later to install the piers. They were very courteous and hard-working, and went above and beyond what I expected of them. They even removed a shrub that was in the way and hauled it off at no extra charge to me. They worked diligently to install the piers and lifted the front of the garage to close the gap and stabilize the foundation, and even filled some cracks that developed in the mortar due to shifting. We ran into an issue with the garage door closing after the piers were installed, but Brandon and his team worked hard to get the door closed for me. (The door wasn't their fault, the frame had shifted and no longer accommodated the fly-away door). Unfortunately, none of us thought to try the door before they had filled the holes back in, so they had to dig everything back up to make adjustments. I felt so bad for them, but they did it all without complaint or attitude. Once they finished, they cleaned everything up again and the garage looked spectacular. It hasn't moved since. I am so thoroughly pleased with this company. The work ethic of and quot;find the cause and fix itand quot; is so refreshing, and they aren't concerned about up-selling you. I trust Brandon's expertise whole heartedly, and will only deal with Urgent Foundation in the future. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. After having some bad experiences with another foundation company, it was so pleasant to work with Brandon and the guys at Urgent Foundation. Brandon is extremely professional and trustworthy. He's honest and up-front, and the crew is friendly and prideful of their work. They were easy to get a hold of, came out on time the day of the work, and worked non-stop on getting the job done right. Although they offer a lifetime warranty on their work, they make it clear that they intend to get the job done right the FIRST time. The entire crew worked so hard and even came back a few days later because they didn't feel they had matched the mortar closely enough. (I did not request this or feel it was needed!) Also of note: they had to remove two large shrubs to put in the root barrier, and unlike another company which told me if they had to remove any shrubs they wouldn't replace them, Urgent Foundation Repair replanted our shrubs and you can't even tell they were ever removed. I have given their card to neighbors, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy foundation company. When there are so many other foundation companies that look for ways to get you or not honor their work, it's refreshing to find someone who cares about the job and their customers. Thank you!!

Urgent Foundation was referred to me by a friend of mine who had used them to repair her home. Brandon came out and inspected the foundation, and gave me a few options according to my budget. I decided to have the entire home repaired. They were true professionals from start to finish. I was just blown away by how clean they made such a dirty job look. They even fixed part of the slab inside my home for free, where a plumber broke it out and did a bad job of patching it. And I didn't even ask them to! Thank you Urgent Foundation Repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Urgent Foundation Repair installed 12 piers on the west side of my home, which had settled significantly. After the work was complete, my doors opened and closed properly and most of the cracks closed completely. They repaired my home over three years ago and I never had another problem with it! I am happy to recommend this company to anyone in need of foundation repair.

Urgent Foundation Repair came out to our home and thoroughly inspected the foundation. They presented us with a fair and honest estimate, and we knew they were the company we had been looking for. 22 Exterior Piers were installed around the perimeter of our two story home. Once the piers were installed, our home was lifted 2 1/2 inches and stabilized. The cracked brick and mortar was repaired and our yard was properly cleaned up. The process was quick, and the crew was very clean and professional. If you have foundation problems, Urgent Foundation Repair is your company!
