Our Story

Our story IS the American dream!

Antonella’s Pizzeria II is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated Italian restaurant serving the greater Quad Cities area for nearly 20 years!

Our story IS the American dream!

It all started with our generations-old family recipes and our desire to share quality food with family and friends.  So, in 1971, with the help of Great Grandma Antonia Lentini, Grandpa Reno Vitale emigrated to America and opened a family restaurant in Carlinville, Illinois.  Through hardwork and dedication, he passed along his desire to realize the American dream.

His daughter, Antonia Vitale, and her family followed with another restaurant in downtown Davenport.  Now, four generations later, Giovanni Sgro continues the family tradition of preparing and serving delicious meals for the community at the Freight House location.  The Freight House, with amazing scenic vistas of the Mississippi River, offers dine-in ambiance, enhanced outdoor patio seating, and carryout and delivery options.

Our menu continues to offer a variety of fresh, authentic Sicilian-style pasta entrees from our family’s table to yours.  In addition, we are proud to serve delicious pizzas and calzones to please the hungriest of appetites.

Our goal continues to be to provide an affordable, quality meal each time you visit us.  From our family to yours…

Buon Appetito! (Enjoy your Meal!)
