We should know: We spend our workdays surrounded by inspiring, glossy images of elegant English country manors and breezy East Hampton escapes, all perfectly appointed by professionals. And, you know what? When we go home at night, it’s not all walk-in closets and crystal chandeliers. The Architectural Digest standard is what we aspire to, but in real life, the editors of this site are probably a lot like you.
