Hayley is the owner of the car workshop and MOT station, Avia Autos, and a professional author for the industry. As well as a qualified vehicle technician and MOT tester. Having published work in industry magazines since 2007, she is now the co-author for the companion text books for the Institute of the Motor Industry and has previously worked as a consultant for government, lobbying, and education organisations.  

Hayley holds the Patron’s Award from the IMI, and has worked with Business Wales to encourage entrepreneurship skills within the sector. Recognised by the DVSA for her contribution to education to motorists, she writes this blog with her husband, Grahame Pells, who also writes for industry.

Grahame's areas of specialisation include aluminum sheet fabrication using traditional techniques using equipment such as the English Wheel and automotive body work welding for classic and historic vehicles. Grahame also produces CAD drawings and is developing 3d printing strategies to facilitate reverse engineered repairs for vehicles that are no longer in production.
