Although I am a Colorado native, I didn't fall in love with the mountains until about 2015 through an adventure to Twin Sisters Peak with my brother. Not too long after my guy and I moved to Westcliffe to build our own dream house, just the two of us.
As we moved through this massive project I often thought about how I could reinvent myself as a professional. I no longer resonated with the day-to-day salon life and found myself gravitating towards the bridal sector of the beauty industry.
I began A Vow to Artistry in 2017 with 3 mannequin heads, a couple brides a month and all the training I could find online, which was countless hours worth. We have now become a multi artist team that services brides across state lines and beyond. I have personally been providing hair and makeup for at least 75+ brides every year since 2020.
I'll always give my everything to anything I do, I'm absolutely obsessed with dogs and hiking, and I love new situations and a good challenge! I grew up in a constantly moving household and I was continually learning how to make new friends or blend with a different surrounding. I resonate with the oddballs and weirdos which I also consider myself (in a loving way, of course).
For my brides and their loved ones, I continue to broaden my horizons and keep up with the current beauty industry so I can provide exceptional service to each and every person. Each year I maintain a monthly membership with online courses such as the world renowned Kristina Gasperas Academy based out of the UK, Renee Marie Hairstyling Academy and Temptu makeup course, online and in person.
Adventure Instead
Adventure elopements caught my eye in 2018 where I came up with what I coined, the adventure stylist. I was enamored by the thought of hiking to get married and have since been on over 40 adventures with couples and their crew. I have learned and continue to grow my cordless hair and makeup services and ability to handle just about anything you may need while we’re out.
I love 4x4ing and can skillfully help get where we need to go. I am a trained and avid hiker who can definitely help carry the load. I’m your best friend who actually cares about every little detail I know needs to happen to make your adventurous wedding out of this world.
My hair and makeup has been published in magazines and online for both weddings and elopements. I’ve also been interviewed numerous times by Voyager Den as an adventure elopement stylist - HAMU anywhere and without electricity.
My passion for creating an experience that resonates with each person, not just a mask over their head and face, has catapulted the success of myself and my team. I’ve built this name by optimizing consultations to ensure we’re creating a polished essence of each person who sits down in front of us.
WOW!! All I have to say is Ashley is amazing. We started the morning VERY early at 2:30am for my sunrise elopement in Crested Butte. She is so sweet and genuine and made the whole process stress free (which is important for us brides!!!). She knows EXACTLY what she is doing. My hair and makeup all held for 10+ hours including lots of happy tears during the first look/ceremony, paddle boarding, and hiking to a waterfall! She is the best in the business, I would book her again and again! 15/10 recommend!!

Introducing Emi,

Emi is a licensed Esthetician out of Lakewood, CO near where we grew up. Emi and I have been friends since the 8th grade. When I began my bridal career, she found a hidden passion and talent and quickly enrolled in school in 2019. Emi dedicated a summer to assisting me and learning the in’s and out’s of makeup and has blossomed into a talented artist.
Emi has provided makeup for over 150 brides. She has hundreds of hours of continued education including Temptu master classes online and in person, the Kristina Gasperas online makeup academy, based out of the UK and she is aiming to add more services to her list each year.
Emi has accompanied me on a few adventure elopements and hopes to offer her own adventurous services after completing hair courses this year.
Emi is a runner, hiker and outdoor fanatic. You may see her in a marathon, race or at the local golf course.
Emi just may be one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. She’s always got a smile on her face and encouraging words to boost you up.

Meet Rachel,
hair artist.
Now a hair stylist based out of Westcliffe, Rachel and I met in beauty school back in 2009 and somehow both ended up in Westcliffe. Rachel adores the small town living and the serenity it offers her family.
Rachel has been doing bridal beauty services since her days in Breckenridge and continues to follow current trends and techniques. Rachel subscribes to BTC University and sharpens her skills with monthly continued education.
Rachel juggles being a mom and a Westcliffe hair artist, while also keeping everyone she keeps company with, in the know! She is frequently scouring the web to find and share DIY hidden gems and you can bet you’ll find her online sharing her scores.
Rachel’s dedication to her family, faith and friends is a true testament to her huge heart and arms that are always wide open.
