Cremat 11 - Brunch, Tapas and Cocktails in the Born

What would you say if I told you that in the middle of busy Born there is a cool place that does tasty brunch and beautiful cocktails? AND they have a terrace..! That friendly place is called Cremat 11.

Cremat 11 is located just a minute’s walk from the Picasso Museum, but it is cleverly hidden away on a side street that doesn’t get much foot traffic. Do you know what this means? A terrace where you can actually get a seat..! And the plaza itself is wonderfully calm with a few leafy green trees in the middle. Sounds pretty great, right?

If you prefer to sit inside like I do, then go for it: the inside of the restaurant is very cool and cozy. The interior design is quirky and fun with lots of cool details, and inviting both day and night. It’s a place to stay and linger for a while. But let’s talk about the food, shall we?

Any brunch lover will be excited about the menu here, it has all the essential parts a brunch should have, and more. I can’t NOT mention the pancakes, they are honestly among the prettiest I’ve ever seen, and the dish is BIG, with 4 pancakes, caramelized banana, and seasonal fruit. Isn’t it beautiful, with the flowers on top? (see photo above)

The Eggs Benedict is also a sight for sore eyes, and I loved the Vegan Breakfast option that comes with roasted pumpkin, spinach, cashew cheese, and much more. The Huevos Rancheros are also a safe bet, and the avocado toast is a must on any good brunch menu.

The cherry on top: the cocktails. Cremat 11 has quite an extensive menu of beautiful and tasty cocktails, and make sure you have a closer look at the house specials. The team has created exciting twists on classic cocktails, such as the Espresso Martini that is made with tequila Patron XO. Doesn’t that sound intriguing?

I loved the New York Sour made with Pisco, Dubonnet, lemon and cherry, and the pretty and refreshing Jungle Bird. They also cover classics such as the Negroni and Bramble. The mojito is also present on the menu, with two interesting twists: a blueberry mojito and a tasty ginger version.

What I also very much enjoyed at Cremat 11 was the super friendly staff. Everybody we met was so lovely and helpful, the friendliness really stands out here. I also love how secret this place still is, and how calm the plaza is with the terrace, even though it is in the middle of the busy Born neighborhood. Just go, you won’t regret it!
