As a soon too be 50 year old woman with Fibromyalgia and Joint Hypermobility needing a double hip replacement I cannot rate The Pilates Project, Fife highly enough. Gina is very astute and picks up on your weaknesses, adapts exercises and before you know it they're past history. I can now for the most part hold my own with the class. My improved fitness and core strength has helped stabilise my hips and other joints. My stamina is much improved and am able to do so much more than I could before. More...

I have just started my second block of six week Pilates sessions with Gina in my attempt to return my body from that of a middle-aged wreck to the nimble, springy version last seen when Britpop ruled the airwaves. I couldn't wish for a better teacher in this. Gina carries her deep professional knowledge with lightness and humour and is able to effectively differentiate her instructions to enable all members of the class to succeed and make progress.Your search for a Pilates teacher in north-east Fife should end here! Back to Gina's Auchtermuchty class after a few weeks' break. Now feeling stretched, exercised and definitely improved! Gina's classes are excellent, and she is particularly good at being aware of people's physical difficulties (eg shoulders, necks etc). and adjusting the exercises for those people accordingly. Having had 2 c-sections, I was left with little to no core strength. I was also suffering from a bad back and thought a pilates class would be ideal. When I saw The Pilates Project was starting a class in my village it sounded perfect and I haven't been disappointed. I have never felt like I wasn't 'keeping up' and Gina always gave me alternative moves to do until I felt able to move on. 6 months on and I can now do a 'seated roll up' so I must have some tummy muscles under there! Gina's pilates class on a Friday morning in Newport is the best hour of my week I could do for myself. Don't get me wrong, it is a challenging class, moves along at a good pace and I always come out feeling like I have worked hard. But I found it has helped me tremendously with my core strength! This is particularly good new for someone like me who is a back pain suffer which I have noticed has reduced while attending Gina's class regularly. If you are a back pain suffer, just let Gina know, she manages her class in a way that offers the individual lots of different options and varying degrees of difficulties. Highly recommended.
