Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Michael traveled to the University of Northern Colorado and earned a Bachelors Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising. Following a Masters Degree in Human Communication, Michael pursued sales and found Real Estate in 2001. He has worked for three brokerages before opening a new brokerage Marathon Real Estate with his wife Tia.


Tia Jones-Johnson

Born and raised in Upstate New York, Tia earned her Bachelors in Economics at Oneonta University. Continuing her studies at the University of Northern Colorado, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Gerontology. Her studies and work focused on older adults before entering real estate in 2008. She is a co-owner of Marathon Real Estate with her husband Mike.
