On June 2, 2022, Thomas A Moore entered into a Consent Judgment with the West Virginia Attorney General's Office. The Consent Judgment settles allegations that Thomas Moore was in violation of the state's Consumer Credit and Protection Act. Thomas Moore advertised to consumers that it could settle consumers' debt for less than what was owed. Attorney General alleged most consumers never had their debts settled by Moore. Under terms of the consent judgment, Thomas Moore agreed to pay a judgment in the amount of $450,000 and agreed to cease all debt settlement activities in West Virginia.
This action is final.
