I hired Shadow1 *********************************************** to remove old flooring and to install the luxury laminate in all rooms, hallway, and on the stairs in my home. I purchased the materials from a vendor that was recommended by Shadow1 ***********************************************. My floors were installed in October of 2021 and right away I observed problems with the installation of the flooring. I contacted the company and the owner came to my home and noted my concerns. He had a contractor come to my home the following week to fix things that were of concern. The worker nailed down the top stair edging because it was coming up and put sealer in some places. A few months later another stair was lifting up. I reached out to the company via email and did not receive a response. After the third stair broke into two pieces I called the company and an appointment was scheduled. After scheduling an appointment, no one came two my home during the first two appointments. I was told that ****** would come on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 to fix my stairs. He did not come. I called the office and I was reassured that someone would come the next morning at 10 AM. Someone from Shadow1 *********************************************** did come to access my stairs. I was informed that the flooring on my stairs had been installed improperly. The flooring on all of the stairs would need to be removed and reinstalled properly or the flooring would continue to lift and break. I would need more stair edging for the job to be completed. The cost of the stair edging is approximately $636.00. Shadow1 Painting &Remodel should pay for the materials and properly install the flooring on my stairs. The stairs are a safety hazard in my for my family. I am currently waiting to hear from them.
