    Additional business information

    Additional Info:
On February 09, 2023, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) contacted David Dinsmore, owner of All Out Moving, to gain clarification on the ownership of the business, due to a change in responses to complaints and an increase in complaints being reported to BBB.
Mr. Dinsmore responded to BBB on February 09, 2023, and shared that while he had been using the services of a claims service company to address complaints, he recently discontinued the service. He further indicated that his company had incorporated a new system to significantly streamline their claims process and believes that it operates effectively.
As of April 25, 2024, BBB has noted that the number of complaints submitted since BBB’s initial conversation with Mr. Dinsmore has declined significantly. BBB will continue to monitor the company's complaints and complaint volume.

This company moved our household contents locally in 12/23. I purchased extra insurance for $575.00 thru them. There was some furniture, appliance, and floor damage that I requested to be repaired within the appropriate required time. After a few weeks and several email follow ups to ask if they had the received the documentation, I was told that AOM would self-handle the claim. I I took all the photos requested on the claim form and completed the forms they sent to me. I called, e-mailed, and texted to check the status of the claim after a few weeks. I eventually had to advise them that I would turn over the matter to an attorney if they did not respond. The next day, owner ***** ******** and his employee, ******** came to my house to inspect the damage themselves. After looking around, they stated in no uncertain terms that they knew this claim was "fraud" and that they believed I was a "professional claimer" based on the photos I had submitted and the amount of detail I had provided on their forms. They said, "How much money are you looking for?' to me. I said none, I just wanted the freezer door hinge on my garage refrigerator repaired (they had bent it and we now have to use packing tape to keep it closed), that I want the two gouges in the newly refinished hardwood floor repaired, and the scratches in the furniture repaired. They have gone silent again for the last several weeks. I have gone from being patient with them to wanting to be done with them. I want to be reimbursed for the following: $575 refund for insurance policy they sold me and never intended to use. Refund daily rate for one worker who was in his first or second day of work. This worker was not fit for the job due to some challenges and only managed to wrap about ten plastic cups over the whole day. $800 - new garage door top-freezer refrigerator. Cost of having furniture repair company take care of scratches on several pieces of ************ ***** furniture.

Hired this company based on the “fact” that it was veteran owned and operated. We moved in December of 2022 and stored our household goods for 5 weeks with All Out and then moved into a new residence in the first week of February 2023. We chose the option of purchasing insurance through All Out, the cost was $450 to purchase insurance to protect against damage incurred during the move. When our household goods were delivered there were several pieces of furniture that were missing and several pieces that were broken or destroyed. We filed a claim with All Out days after we took delivery. Over the course of the next nine months we “attempted” to contact All Out’s claims manager multiple times via phone and email to no avail. In September, seven months after the claim was filed we were able to connect with All Out’s new claim manager who assisted us with the claim. We finally received a check from All Out on the 14th of October, 10 months after our move. The claim that we filed was for $1500-1700 based on multiple missing items and damage or destroyed goods. What we discovered during the process was that All Out sells moving insurance as part of their fee and if you make a claim they add another fee or “deductible” to process the claim? So here is the math: we incurred losses in the area of $1500, we paid All Out $450 for insurance plus a “deductible” of $125. That means All Out compensated us for $1500-1700 of losses by sending us a check for $1000. If you deduct the $450 fee plus the $125 “deductible” we netted $325 dollars for our claim against an estimated loss of $1500-1700 in lost or destroyed goods and the entire process took ten months.
