I called Towing McKinney - TX Magic Towing & spoke to an Alex cause my truck had flat tire; gave them my address & the address I needed it towed to: ************************************************* which is only 2.8 miles via ************ from my place. Alex told me that I had to pay $79.00 up front before he would send the tow truck to me I paid by Visa; & after that it would depend on the miles to the place, & that it could be between $45,00 to $80.00 more, but if it was less than 5 miles they would not charge me mileage. I said ok & he sent the tow truck. I had parked my truck in a parking space with no other cars on either side, facing front, so the tow truck would not have any problems. The tow truck came & it was 2 persons; the driver asked for my keys & to my surprise he DROVE MY TRUCK ON ITS FLAT TIRE & put it close to the back of the tow truck. I told him he should not drive it because it had a flat & could ruin the rim but he said nothing will happen. They loaded the truck in less than 2 minutes & went down *********., I went in tow truck with them; when we got there, the driver asked for my keys again; unloaded my truck & again DROVE IT ON ITS FLAT TIRE INTO A PARKING SPACE instead of backing up the tow truck into the parking space! Then he said my final bill was $193.00! I had already paid $79 and it was only 2.8 miles. So I had to pay him; but I called their office and spoke to Alex & told him it was too high. He said the driver told him he had a lot of trouble getting my truck out of its parking space which is a LIE because there were no cars on either side; & that he had trouble putting it in place at the store which is another LIE because he drove it in on its flat tire! Alex then said he would reduce my bill by only $13.00 so he charged me $180 & he put $18 back on my Visa card. So I paid a total of $259.00 to tow my truck 2.8 miles, taking advantage of a senior 73 yrs old charging me excessive fee & they could have damaged it.
