Product Description:

Just like a camel, the ponytail palm can store water in their swollen trunk which allows them to go up to a month without watering and not suffer any ill effects. The plant’s nickname of Elephant’s foot comes from the scaly texture of the trunk which reminded early botanists of a pachyderm’s leg. The long, slender leaves will curl in spirals and cascade over the edge of the pot as it grows, making it look even more like a Dr. Seuss plant brought to life.
Beaucarnea Recurvata grow best in bright light, but if they cannot be near a window inside, they can be acclimated to the darker Pacific Northwest winters by moving them outside during the summer. Their slow growth rate and ability to store water make them an exceptionally easy to care for plant, no matter what color of thumb the recipient has. Ponytail palms are great plants for anyone who is away from home for long stretches or does not always remember to water their plants.
We pot our ponytail palms up in a contemporary brushed aluminum bowl that is eight inches wide and cover the top of the soil with gravel as both an accent and to hold in moisture. Every plant is delivered with specific care instructions so that even a novice plant parent will find it easy to help their plant thrive.
Approximately 18 inches tall and 10 inches wide.
