Pinkies up, tea fans: There’s a cup for everyone at ÉgaliTea Organic Cafe, a new tea house on Newbury Street offering dozens of tea options — including tea ice cream.

Owner Angela Niu, who previously worked in the bio tech field before deciding to open ÉgaliTea, debuted her cafe on Saturday with an organic menu that features smoothies, bagels, soups, and a variety of breakfast dishes that range from customizable açai bowls and yogurt bowls to warm oatmeal bowls. Fair trade and kosher toppings include pumpkin seeds, edible flowers, rose marmalade, and cacao nibs, while bagel options, which come from Cambridge-based Iggy’s Bread, include sprouted onion poppyseed and sprouted cinnamon raisin.

The ice cream, which Niu said is made in-house, comes in tea flavors like Assam, matcha, jasmine, and earl grey. And, of course, there is the sheer quantity of tea itself. Tea varieties are available hot or iced, and include black, green, white, oolong, and pu’erh tea, as well as chai, Moroccan mint, passion fruit, and rooibos.

The shop was designed by Jessica Smith at JS Designs, and features 19 seats inside and 12 seats on the outdoor patio. ÉgaliTea’s sleek, modern interior is less stuffy tea house and more chic cafe, with marble tables, cozy booths, and brick walls.

While Niu said that the menu won’t change much in the immediate future, she emphasized that some aspects of the shop may be altered, such as the hours. For now, stop by daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a bagel and endless cups of tea.
