Marco Santos, with his mum Cristina and father Nelson, revived this 136-year-old general store in 2017, turning it into a takeaway and dine-in deli.

The Lost Deli’s focus is on healthy, organic and diet-restriction-friendly food, including options for vegans and coeliacs. Salads are based on what’s in season, and Marco also offers lasagnas, vegetable bakes and soups in the winter. Marco cut his teeth at The Essence in Stirling and Cherry Darlings Bakehouse, a “cruelty-free” bakery in Forestville.

With a limited seating capacity of 20 people, takeaway is the main game here, which fits the ethos of the business: making healthy food more convenient.

Alternative-milk coffees are also on offer, and in order to convert any non-believers, the first coffee is on the house.
