EDITOR: Since posting this article and with the introduction of stricter social distancing by the Government, Pixies Home Help Services has suspended its services until further notice.

Pixies Home Help Services is another North Devon business that aims to continue operating through the Coronavirus difficulties.

Started by Helena Kastelan in Bideford in 2018, and named after her cat Pixie, the business offers a wide range of domestic services across Bideford, East of the Water, Northam, Appledore, Instow and Westward Ho! or further afield where required. These include house cleaning, one-off deep cleans or regular cleans, holiday home, shalet and caravan cleans, end of tenancy cleans,  ironing and linen, washing, making up beds, shopping,  light garden work, dog walking.

Helena is taking “every possible precaution to stay safe and healthy and prevent contamination, and to enable business to continue as normal.”

She says: “I will be happy to wear a mask and gloves at all times if required, and the usual regular hand washing and sanitising will obviously continue.

“I will also be staying away from crowded places of any kind to further minimise any contact at all with this virus, plus I am young, fit and healthy and am more than capable and happy to keep on working untill / if we are told otherwise, and will obviously be putting my customers health first by taking all the necessary precautions.

“I hope this gives everyone peace of mind and assures people that Pixies are extremely vigilant when it comes to our health and cleanliness.”
