About

I am an artist, and art teacher with a background in biology. This background sometimes flavours my art and teaching. I would like to pass on my love of learning and of art to the next generation. There are so many children who enjoy art and self-expression and do not have the opportunity to do so fully at school. I teach at my studio.

Services

Studio Rath is OPEN. Spring session (8 weeks) begins April 8, 2024.

Location

84 Shore Rd., Dartmouth (near the MacDonald Bridge)

NOTE: I teach Monday-Wednesdays. After school classes are 4:00-5:30 and 6:00 to 7:30. Adult private classes are daytime: morning, afternoon, or after work.

My boys really enjoy attending Laurel’s art class, each week they are excited about the art creations and projects they are going to work on. It’s wonderful as a parent, to see that my boys are having fun as well as learning various techniques and applications and being creative. Also gaining lots of skill sets they never knew the possessed. Laurel is a delight, and I can’t say enough great things. The small class size and the smiles on my boys faces after attending each class, makes me look forward to future classes and programs from Laurel.
