WynBurg Café closes after four years in Arlington Heights

WynBurg Café, a breakfast and lunch spot in the Northpoint Shopping Center in Arlington Heights, is closing after nearly four years, its owners announced Friday.

Owners Steve Hamburg and Patty Wynne wrote on Facebook that they've decided to sell their restaurant at 306 E. Rand Road, and it will be permanently closed as of Saturday. "Thanks so much for making our time here the best it possibly could have been!" they wrote.

The restaurant hosted business groups and families alike, with a menu of traditional items and signature specialties such as birthday cake pancakes and potato blanket omelets.

WynBurg took over the spacious restaurant space in 2019 and rebranded from the former Gail's Carriage Place. Before that, it was Max & Irma's.
