In June of 2017 Raegan and Payton Garnsey founded the nonprofit Buckets of Love Foundation. They fill buckets with toys, games, crafts, stuffed animals and whatever else is appropriate for kids ages 2-12. These buckets of love are then donated to hospitals, homeless shelters, and to children in foster care. Their mission over the past years has been to put a smile on a deserving child’s face. To date, they have filled over 10,000 Buckets of Love and have had at least one bucket donated in every single state.
Savage Sisters is dedicated to providing a safe, dignified space for those men and women recovering from homelessness and substance use disorder where they can safely recreate their lives. Dakota has provided funding for two women’s sober living houses.
Mighty Writers teaches over 3,700 students in the Hispanic community to write with clarity so they can achieve success. They also distribute food, education supplies and other essential resources. Dakota sponsors their Spring children’s party and volunteers with the daily food distribution.
Cradles to Crayons ensures that 50,000 children throughout the Philadelphia Region will have everything they need to feel ready to learn. This initiative promotes an equitable education system and empower children to feel safe, valued and ready to learn during uncertain times. Dakota has provided funding for 600 children to have backpacks through their school readiness program.
ACHIEVEability provides housing and supportive services for low-income, single-parent families to help those parents break the generational cycle of poverty. Dakota provided Thanksgiving meals and 90 children with holiday gifts.
Dakota participated in the 31-day challenge fundraiser during the month of May in 2022 and 2023. We have also sponsored the CHOP Shop which is a holiday boutique that raises funds for CHOP.
Sharefood delivers millions of pounds of food to more than 700,000 in need every month.
