I passed my driving test FIRST TIME with Samira! She is excellent at what she does; a very thorough, natural teacher and an obvious expert on the test routes. Passed my test in the first attempt. Samira is very thorough with her instructions and has no qualms about repeating them unless you get them right. She has good knowledge about the test routes which is crucial to get you comfortable during the test.

When you come out of the Barnet test centre be aware of many parked cars on the road, that may be blocking your view on the T-Junctions. As you emerge out of the first few T-Junctions be sure to forward lean if cars are blocking your view and control the car slowly with the clutch and brake. Keep your heading looking both ways regularly, as if you are watching a tennis match.

Our best advice would be to just try and relax. It's completely normal to feel nervous before your first driving lesson, our instructors will be expecting this and will do their best to put you at ease and make you feel comfortable during your lesson. You can rest assured that you're in capable hands with our driveJohnson's instructors, they have years of experience and have taught people of many different abilities to learn to drive. During your first lessons you will be taken on some of the quieter roads in Barnet to get you used to driving and familiar with the car.
We want to make learning to drive as easy as possible for you, that's why we do our best to accommodate to your needs and fit into your busy schedules. Our driving instructors are more than happy to pick you up and drop you off at a location of your choice thats local to the area. For example, if you would like to start your driving lesson in Enfield where you work and finish in Barnet where you live, it's no problem.
The driving test pass rate does tend to be lower for most areas inside of London, be it the more complicated junctions, busier traffic or just more crazy drivers. If you want a 10% higher chance of passing then Borehamwood is the clear winner for test centres near Barnet. If you are taking your driving lessons in Barnet you will find your allocated driveJohnson's instructor should know all three test centres. Here are the pass rates for 2019-2020:
driving lesson in Borehamwood = Approx 50.7%
Barnet = 39.2%
driving lesson in Enfield = 41.9%
When taking driving lessons in Barnet, you will begin by starting in quiet areas like North Finchley Leisure Park, which offer a nice open space for you to practice the basics. As you progress and your confidence grows, you will find yourself on roads near where you begin your lessons with busier roads being taken.
As you continue to progress and develop, you will find yourself leaving Barnet and driving around London and other areas. Some interesting locations to look out for include Hampstead Heath, Royal Air Force Museum London and potentially Wembley Stadium.
