Can you tell us more about why you chose cannabis as an ingredient in your formulations?


Mandy Lile, CEO: In today’s society, we are mass-marketed poison everywhere we look. From the food we eat and the medicine we take to the products we use to care for our bodies and the very clothes we wear, some ingredients and components can cause harm. It doesn’t have to be this way. This is why at Potency, we offer products made from the earth that are packed with clean, effective, proven ingredients, including cannabinoids from cannabis!


Growing up with firsthand awareness regarding the stigma of cannabis, I was inspired to show everyone the truth about the herb and chose to do so through the beauty side of this hempsational plant. I’ve always had a knack for plant-based, clean, and ingredient-conscious products. When I learned about the power of cannabinoids such as CBD and CBG and what they offered for our skin and overall health, I knew this was the ingredient that had been missing from skincare.



There are CB1, and CB2 receptors, which are part of the endocannabinoid system found throughout our skin in the epidermis, sebaceous glands, and hair follicles. These receptors work with phytocannabinoids such as CBD and CBG. CBD is a proven antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and has been shown to help retain moisture and to encourage the production of collagen. CBG offers antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties in addition to helping retain moisture in the skin and strengthening our sebaceous glands.

Both of these cannabinoids work hand in hand with our body’s natural endocannabinoid system to provide relief from a wide range of skin-related issues, and if you look at our before and after deck, you can clearly see the results they are producing.

We know that cannabis is a highly restricted industry still in terms of marketing and advertising. Can you tell us more about how you foster brand loyalty?

From frequent newsletters packed with brand info, cannabis education, product promos, giveaways, ingredient info, and more to daily interaction on social media, I make it a point to stay involved with the Potency No. 710 community. I truly believe this engagement and connection between community and brand is one of the driving forces of the success Potency No. 710 has seen to date. Cannabis is a highly restricted market, but thanks to the community that I have built, word of mouth is still one of my strongest marketing tools.



Shoutout to my hometown Kentucky community, as they have been my greatest supporters since day one. When I opened my first skincare clinic in my 20s, I started to care for the skin of many individuals within our small, tight-knit community. When I made the decision to head to LA, and the dream of Potency came to be, they were behind me 100%. They have helped inspire me, motivate me, and have helped spread the word about Potency since day one. Their loyalty and support are the real MVPs of Potency No. 710!


Potency No. 710 is not just focused on safe, effective skincare products but also on a mission to destigmatize cannabis. Can you tell us more about how you are doing that?



I love to educate people about cannabis anywhere I can. When it comes to events, I love to use unique body paintings to spark the conversation. You might be surprised how many people just have to initiate conversations when you are painted as a wild cat promoting a skincare brand! I also have an educational blog series on my website known as the Plant Power Series, in which my team and I produce educational cannabis content. I’m on a mission to not just show the world how beautiful this plant can be when embraced but also, in my own way, help to educate the masses and bring down the walls of misinformation that have been fueled by the last 80+ years of cannabis prohibition.
