We all know that any Mondial coupe variant is rarer than an F40. I've heard that there are only 42 T coupes in the US How about the earlier versions? Anyone know how many Mondial 8, QV, and 3.2 coupes are here? Here's the worldwide production (source: http://www.dropbears.com/m/models/ferrari/mondial.htm) Mondial 8, 1980-1982: 703 Mondial QV, 1982-1985: 1145 Mondial 3.2, 1985-1989: 987 Mondial T, 1989-1993: 840
42 T coupes is the number furnished to John and I by a friend who works for Ferrari in Italy. I'll see if I can get more info on other variants. Carol
always wondered too about the Euro 308 numbers, have seen "100" used in various posts but no one seesm able to substantiate it.
I have seen many Mondial coupes, all had sunroofs. OTOH at a FCA concours i joked with someone about how there were 2 F40's present and yet just 1 Mondial coupe.
The reason why there were 42 Mondial t Coupes sold was because there were 42 FNA dealers and each one was allocated one car. Later, FNA reduced the number of dealers.
Hah! Birdman, after fixing the A/C on the new t Coupe, the sunroof is the only thing that DOESN'T work on the car! Hah! Good repair info on FChat, that's the next project. -Peter (VV Mondiali!)
Mine is factory sunroof, thought they all were that way. (??) Sunroof broken, taken out for repair. The spindle on the cable-end snapped off, maybe because of the stress from the right rear guide plastic bit being broken. Extracting it is a bit tricky, do NOT cut the headliner, that won't help in the least! Key is to remove the runners and bring the panel forward to the keyway/window (where there's a notch in the guide path), starting at about three inches open. Then ease it up from inside, whilst coming forward. After that, it's a cakewalk if the cable or spindle are already broken, as was the case in my car. So I need those parts, 60967300 and 60970200, if anyone's got them available, used or new.
Of the later part of the 1992-93 Mondial t count were there many if any valeos hidden in those coupes?
I asked this question before and got no response, so I'll try again here. Is there any registry listing colors of each of the Mondials? I have yet to see a silver T coupe.
Are you sure the number isn't transposed? I find a 609637 but not a 609673. I haven't checked US suppliers but they are both available new at 230 English Pounds at Eurospares in the UK. 609702 cable is 425 English Pounds. Geez, I hope my car doesn't need both those pieces! -Peter
There are at least these US-spec Mondials delivered to the US/Canada. There are probably a few more that are missing Tipo Model Year First # Last # #Cars Mondial 8 1981 37431 37453 11 Mondial 8 1982 38049 41451 136 Mondial QV Coupe 1983 45639 49491 50 Mondial QV Coupe 1984 0 0 0 Mondial QV Coupe 1985 53815 58537 19 Mondial QV Cabriolet 1983 47247 48993 55 Mondial QV Cabriolet 1984 49505 53011 106 Mondial QV Cabriolet 1985 53013 58669 121 Mondial 3.2 Coupe 1986 61851 66205 29 Mondial 3.2 Coupe 1987 66781 73347 23 Mondial 3.2 Coupe 1988 74455 78666 35 Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet 1986 59645 66189 148 Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet 1987 66377 73973 123 Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet 1988 74407 78772 178 Mondial t Coupe 1989 81342 82587 42 Mondial t Coupe 1990 0 0 0 Mondial t Coupe 1991 0 0 0 Mondial t Coupe 1992 0 0 0 Mondial t Coupe 1993 0 0 0 Mondial t Cabriolet 1989 81374 82571 165 Mondial t Cabriolet 1990 84665 88008 95 Mondial t Cabriolet 1991 88048 90461 49 Mondial t Cabriolet 1992 90607 93123 47 Mondial t Cabriolet 1993 93210 96325 23

well that proves it! mine (8) is #39799 and does not match up with US cars in some respects. seems like it was done with a halfway DOT conversion. i've got the US side marker lights and stickers for DOT but no door bars. even the wiring is euro, that was my first tipoff when i went to fix the hack job radio install.
I know for a fact that the monidal t coupes are very rare and hard to find, took me 2 years to find one..
There was a red Mondial T coupe for sale last year by Ferrari of Denver. Don't know who bought it or if it sold.
