Kev,
Not fished it but a few chaps from the Angus Dragons have been up. Eels, Perch and a few small roach. There are meant to be carp and tench in there and there were pictures on the website of the small carp in a net, so i guess someone had caught some. Sorry i can't be of more help.

Have you been to Orchill fishery near Auchtarader? Openned last year as a coarse water, some nice fish in there with the carp record being a little over 22 pounds..and growing fast.

Took a run there last year but it was shut and no-one around to talk to. looked ok tho and as its only about 30 mins from me will certainly have a wee run there this year.

Hi Rob no I have not fished Orchill but is on the list after taking a look at their website, a lot will depend on my coarse fishing buddy and his plans for 2008.

Might give Geddes a bash after I have taken a look.

Have you tried Loch Soy yet? Good fun in the winter for the roach :)

Is that the one at Port Soy. I have not fished that for a good while the last time i was up there, there was a stack of fry. Have the roach flourshed and are they of a reasonable size?

Kev,
the biggest roach i had was about 8oz, but I was knocking them out on punched bread on a freezing winters day on the pole. The carp apparently are hitting double figures now, but I have never actually had a go for them yet  :oops
