RICHARD AINSWORTH

Richard was born in Zambia and raised in Rhodesia which was, at the time, under British Colonial rule, as his father was head of the British Police out there. Richard was sent to boarding school where English riding was very much part of the curriculum. Upon graduation from  Boarding School Richard was sent to England  to join the  Household Cavalry Regiment of the British Army where he served for 5 years. Richard moved to the United in 1986 and has been running a highly successful contracting business in Naples Florida for the past 30 years.  With Richards extensive knowledge of  Horsemanship it seemed a natural progression  for him to help his partner in life, Joanna,  in opening this new and exciting facility in the Bonita Springs area.

JOANNA SIME

Joanna like Richard grew up across the pond in Sheffield, England. As a child she had a strong passion for both horses and gymnastics.  However, having a very talented  older sister, Katie, a member of the British National gymnastics Squad, her parents encouraged Joanna to focus on the non moving horse along with her sister and pursue a career in gymnastics. This choice paid off for Joanna who, following in her sister's footsteps, became a junior and senior International gymnast for Great Britain competing in both European, world and Commonwealth Games  throughout her career. Joanna finished her career by receiving a full NCAA gymnastics Scholarship to Pennsylvania State University where she completed her degree in Russian Technical Translation and as a result ended up remaining in the United States where she had spent much of her life training and competing in gymnastics. For more information on Joanna's background please see Wikipedia.

Joanna eventually decided to indulge her passion for horses when her young son Max showed an interest in the sport upon an unexpected visit to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. One ride and he was hooked. Off we went to Providence Equestrian Center here in Bonita Springs where Max was taught all the basics of good horsemanship and given an excellent foundation in the sport. A big thanks to Heather and Amanda Cassesse .

Max is now trained by Grand Prix Show jumper Diego Mushondt and  Grand Prix Dressage rider Kati Dagge, both who have helped him make great strides in the sport competing at both Foxlea Farm and in Wellington at the Winter Equestrian Festival. Both Kati and Diego will be holding monthly training  clinics for interested riders.

With Joanna's gymnastics back ground and love of horses, EQUINE VAULTING, gymnastics on horses, became a natural progression and passion. Joanna is extremely excited about sharing  her love of this sport with the children of Bonita Springs.
