Le Tastevin on Ile St.-Louis, Paris

Hi, has anyone eaten at Le Tastevin recently? My hotel is suggesting this one for New Year's as Au Vieux Bistrot may be closed. Will try Au Vieux Bistrot the night before NYE however.

I have not eaten at Le Tastevin but, in case you need another restaurant on Ile St. Louis, did have an excellent meal at Mon Vieil Ami two weeks ago. I'd recommend a reservation if you decide to try it...we saw several people turned away while we were there.

I just wanted to post that I did eat NYE dinner at Le Tastevin. This is a very small 10 table restaurant with personal service. You are given the chance to savor each course. That meant I sat down to dinner at 8:30 p.m. and left at 11:45 p.m. I could've stayed until midnight but I needed to leave before. No rush by the staff and the food (scallop salad, filet of beef, cheese plate, Berthillon pear sorbet with Calvados sauce, and a great chocolate/pistachio cake) was excellent. Highly recommended.

It was a prix fixe menu @ 90 euro/person without drinks. It was cheaper than L'Ilot Vache which charged 120 euro/person.

I'm trying to remember is this the small place right on a corner with windows on two sides and very elaborate table settings?

L'Ilot Vache is on the corner of rue St. Louis en Ile.
