Jason S. Reid

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Jason Reid earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in the spring of 2019 at Barry University Dwayne O. Andres School of Law. He completed the 36 month program in 28 short months while earning top marks in Contracts, Torts, Guardianship, Mediation, and Trail Advocacy. Additionally, he received the Book Award for Insurance Law and he was selected by Dr. Linda Coco to work in the school's Bankruptcy Clinic, serving indigent citizens in the United States Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida

During his undergraduate education, Jason studied finance, marketing, management, accounting, psychology, and completed pre-medical sciences. Later, he received a Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration at the University of Central Florida.

Jason is a Florida native and long-time Orlando resident. He has years of collective, practical experience working in seven industries, including 1,000+ hours of local community service and non-profit organizational leadership. He developed the concept of Law for Life to challenge the out-of-date norms within the legal industry and bring the benefits of the Law to everyday, ordinary people.

Jason lives with his domestic partner in the SoDo District of Orlando. When Jason isn't working he enjoys the outdoors, video games, and regular time with friends and family.

Hurley Partin Whitaker II

Co-founder & Chief Legal Officer

Partin Whitaker earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Florida A&M College of Law in Downtown Orlando while working as an intern for a local environmental defense attorney. Additionally, he clerked in the United States Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida for Judge Karen Jennemann. Partin earned the Book Award in Bankruptcy and Administrative Law and competed with the school's Mock Trial Team. Before going to law school, Partin attended the University of Central Florida and was one of the first graduates from the Rosen School of Hospitality Management.

Partin has five years of practice experience, first working for two years in his family's firm where he focused on bankruptcy, as well as collection and foreclosure defense. He later led the Bankruptcy Division at the prestigious Bogin, Munns, & Munns. After two years, Partin decided that a corporate firm with a traditional approach was not where and how he wanted to practice law. After a brief foray in solo practice, Partin joined Law for Life and helped formally launch the company.

Partin is a third generation Florida attorney, absorbing experience from his father, grandfather, and his mother who ran Legal Aid of Broward County. He is a Florida native and lives with his domestic partner and their son in the Orlando area. When he’s not watching cartoons and playing video games with the family, Partin spends his time playing the drums in a few bands.
