Dr. Korne primarily focuses on Diversified Chiropractic Technique, which involves a “short (low-amplitude), quick (high-velocity) thrust over restricted joints (one at a time) with the goal of restoring normal range of motion in the joint. This is not to be confused with some doctors who “rack and crack” the same exact joints each time.

While some joints may commonly be restricted more often than others, Dr. Colton takes his time to thoroughly assess your spine on each visit to specifically locate your areas of joint restriction. The point is NOT to “zipper” your spine and get as many pops as possible, and there is no research to support this theory.

The purpose to improve motion only in those joints that are restricted. This is why people who “self-adjust” will often do it multiple times per day and not get any long-term relief.

Secondly, this is not only limited to the spine. Dr. Korne also adjusts and mobilizes many extremities, including Hips, Knees, Ankles, Shoulders, Elbows, and Wrists.

Patients sometimes report feeling minor soreness following a chiropractic adjustment, and this is completely normal. These symptoms will sometimes last between 1-2 days, and can happen on the first few adjustments. After your first few adjustments though, this soreness should not continue on each visit.
