Dr. Eric Wee MBBS, MRCP (UK), M. Med (Int. Med), FAMS (Gastro) is a Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist. His appointments include: Head, Division of Gastroenterology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital; Chairman, Nutrition Workgroup of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital; Senior Clinical Lecturer and MBBS Examiner, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Associate Program Director of the Senior Residency Program (Gastroenterology), NHG-Alexandra Health. He sits on the executive committees of the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore and the Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (SingSPEN) and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Eric Wee was a recipient of the MOH HMDP Scholarship and the KTPH Overseas Training Program, acquiring his advanced endoscopy skills from the renowned Mayo Clinic and the World Organisation of Digestive Endoscopy, Center of Excellence, Asian Institute of Gastroenterology. He is accredited to perform complex procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), balloon enteroscopy and endo-luminal stenting. In total, he has performed several thousand advanced procedures safely and successfully. Dr. Wee has led the nutrition support team at KTPH for over half a decade, reviewing patients who are dependent on total parenteral nutrition. In addition, he manages the entire spectrum of Gastroenterology diseases, treating patients with gastric problems, pancreatic, biliary, liver (liver lesions, hepatitis, cirrhosis), bowel and colorectal conditions.

Dr. Eric Wee received the National Excellence Service (Gold), NHG Quality Pillar and Service Champion awards, an acknowledgment of patients’ satisfaction with his service rendered. He recognizes that a good doctor-patient rapport is as vital as managing a patient’s medical condition. As a skilled therapeutic endoscopist, he performs high-quality examinations—such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy for gastric and colon cancer screening—that are accurate, comfortable and safe.

Dr. Eric Wee has authored articles on digestion, endoscopy and liver diseases in peer-reviewed journals and published several book chapters. He is passionate about education and has lectured specialists and master of nursing students. On a national level, he is frequently invited to teach endoscopy. In addition, he has given interviews on Liver disease and Gastroenterology to the mainstream media.
