We recently worked on a project designed by Eco Build Architects; we added a deck with stairs and remodeled the main bedroom; Courtney Miller, the principal, was responsive and made the project a good experience for our clients. Courtney is great. I asked him for an estimate and consultation to add a second bath and extend a bedroom into an en suite. He arrived enthusiastic and full of ideas, which I appreciate. I am clueless as to how these home projects work and Courtney seemed like he would be there to hold my hand along the way. Unfortunately, I was unable to afford what I really wanted to do, but I am determined to wait until I can afford the perfect addition. I will most likely reach out to Courtney when the time is right.

Considering the rather ambitious goals that my wife and I set for our current Wilmot, NH home, Ecobuild Architects came through with flying colors, providing us with a home that more than met all of our criteria. A home optimally oriented to south and built with insulated concrete forms that would maximize our daylighting and passive solar heating in winter, and provide passive cooling in the summer with a two level screened in porch. The upper screened in area is a sleeping loft with 180 degree casement windows providing beautiful summer enjoyment of the ample surrounding natural landscape.

Courtney was my sustainable design instructor at Laney College in Oakland, and in my roll as construction manager, I invited him to assist with a duplex conversion near the Dimond District. His experience and design finesse immediately became invaluable as he made skillful adjustments to wall placement and bathroom planning that allowed us to fit in all our programmatic requirements without feeling that we were losing too much space from the original primary living spaces.
