Just saw O’Bergine on Rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd closed in October 2022, and that the chef is looking for a new and larger location. We are fond of his fresh take on Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes. Dows anyone have news about this?
The chapter is closed. It seems that Claude Aoun has no plans for another restaurant in Paris. Regrettably. I loved O’Bergine and will greatly miss it and Claude’s joyful presence there.
He must have /learned decided not relocate in Paris? I toowill miss chef Claude too. He took such pride and joy in his cuisine and business.
A new Lebanese resto with (perhaps) French twists, Kubri on rue Amelot @ r. Oberkampf in the 11th. Just had a very enjoyable time there this weekend. I still prefer O’Bergine and flirting with Claude Aoun but Kubri is an excellent addition to the food scene. Dunno where you are staying but if on or near the 96 bus route (from, inter alia, St Germain des Prés, Chatelet, Marais), even better… it drops you off just meters from the restaurant.
