The Pop Place will close its retail shop at 213 E. Main St. in Mount Horeb and refocus the business on its mobile kettle corn products, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Business owner Jeff Luitjens says the profit margins are much higher for his kettle corn products, and he aims to find a new location that includes a popcorn production facility. The lower level of Luitjens’ current building in Mount Horeb will be converted into Artemis Provisions & Cheese, a $2 million project scheduled to begin later this year.
