The design of an optimal tank and its transformer usually requires many calculations and test iterations, also due to the constraints of correlation between the transformer’s physical structure and the obtainable inductance parameters.
Our LLC or LCC design service bypasses these issues and, above all, allows to generate feasible and consistent designs, relating to the ZVS retention and the optimization of losses, with great benefits for the outflow of design resources and time to market.

The resonant topology allows SMPS design with excellent performance in terms of efficiency and EMI noise emission.
Moreover, unlike the flyback topology, it is particularly suited for supporting a temporary power even much higher than nominal power.



Itacoil Measuring Transformers allow the accurate measuring of currents and voltages with high insulation and negligible insertion loss.

Measuring Transformers are widely used on instrumentation and equipment for photovoltaic, wind energy, automation and industrial.

A wide range of standard products on stock satisfies the great majority of the needs, though, custom products can be supplied for particular requirements.

The SMPS Transformers, or Transformers for Off-line and DC-DC Switching Converters, are among the most important inductive components that we produce.

Due to the specificity of each switching converter project, we supply the SMPS Transformers as custom products only.

We mostly produce SMPS Transformers according to a specification defined by the customer or refering to third-party specifications, like the output of automatic design tools offered by the controller’s manufacturers.

Nevertheless, automatic tools often propose design with much room for optimization.
In agreement with the customer, we can revise the specs for SMPS Transformers with improved dimensions, costs or performance.

LLC & LCC RESONANT TRANSFORMERS

MAINS TRANSFORMERS
Encapsulated, for typical (50/60Hz) or atypical (20…1000Hz) frequencies, with laminated core, for applications with special needs in terms of voltage, size, casing, terminations etc.
Technical and safety features according to the customer’s requirements
Traditional or flat.
Unpotted versions also with plastic shell for winding protection and creepage/clearance increments.
Tested on request according to EN 61558-1 and EN 61558-2-6 or other “part 2”.

CT & VT
Precision toroidal Current Transformers with amorphous or nanocrystalline cores, for 50…400Hz frequencies, suited for measuring devices where low linearity and phase errors are required (i.e. precision ammeter, wattmeter etc.).
Integrated primary winding on some types.
Usually epoxy encapsulated, for PCB or floating assembly.
50/60Hz Split Core current transformers with high output signal for a better signal-to-noise ratio.
High repeatability of error curves.
DIN rail version.
Precision measuring Voltage Transformers with good linearity and galvanically separated up to 10kV from the measured voltage.

COMMON MODE CHOKES
Linear chokes in different sizes and versions, on “U” cores for small dimensions and low cost, or on “ET” or “UT” cores (with no residual gap).
Common or sectional windings depending on the needs, to enhance “stray inductance” features for an improved differential mode filtering or, vice versa, best dimensions/nominal current ratio.
Toroidal version for a good dimensions/nominal current ratio.
Cased version still at very low cost.
