What is INV Title?
Inv members means, A group of inventors who hold the title of Inv.
Assignment of title to the inventors. Doctors and Ph.D. holders in all countries use Dr as a Title. Engineers in some countries use Eng as a Title. Such a title helps to differentiate qualified and competent professionals from the rest. On the other hand, there is no system that recognizes genuine inventors and innovators, contributing significantly to the knowledge economy and adding to the public stock of knowledge. It was proposed to institutionalize an arrangement whereby the innovators are recognized with the title based on their competency and track record as a member of the Chartered Innovators Council. It was approved to use the title “Inv” for inventors and innovators.
in order to respect inventors, it was mandated that the Inv title be awarded to the inventors by requirements.

IFIA launched the project of the Inv. Membership for the inventors.
IFIA awarded first membership to the Nobel Prize winner in the Year 1977
According to a final enactment from IFIA executive members dated September 11, 2017, in Visakhapatnam-India, The 33rd IFIA Virtual meeting was held on February 04, 2020, and the IFIA Executive Committee accepted that IFIA launches the project Inv. Inventor Members.

Who Can Apply?
The necessary criteria to obtain an Inv title for inventors is at least having one item as follows:
- Having a national or international patent for the current year and after receiving the INV title certificate for each year or having a national or international invention award under the IFIA patronage for the current year and after receiving the INV title certificate for each year.
- Having a recommendation letter from the IFIA member’s office in your country for the current year and after receiving the INV title certificate for each year or (if IFIA has no member’s office in your country) having a recommendation letter from the national government invention and innovation agency for the current year and after receiving the INV title certificate for each year.

IFIA Inv title members will have the following services:
- IFIA grants the legal title to the inventors.
- An opportunity to have free registration and free booth to present his/her invention in an international invention exhibition under the patronage of IFIA.
- Sends IFIA’s newsletters to members monthly, about what’s happening in the world about innovation, including information on funds, events, seminars, international competitions, and more.
- Free registration on Asiaip exchange online invention market place.
- IFIA creates a network between the Inv. members.

Fill out the “Inv.” membership request form and send us this form with a copy of your international patent or if you have a national patent, send us a copy of the official translation of your national patent in English.

Terms and Conditions
- Holders of this title cannot play a role in IFIA’s legal structure and statutes.
- Members of this title will be seen as a group of inventors for further support from IFIA.
- Holders of this title must submit their future requests to IFIA through IFIA’s Full, Corresponding, and Collaborating Members office.
- Any support and services to the holders of this title will be provided by IFIA’s official members and offices of IFIA, and they can only take action through these offices.
- The consequences of any misuse of this title are under the liability of a person who uses this title for any illegal activity.
- Providing untrue documents and evidence to obtain this title is subject to legal prosecution.
- The holders of this title are not recognized as a member of the legal framework of IFIA.
- All INV certificates will send just in electronic files to the Accepted inventors and there is no recommendation later.
- All INV title holders must submit their necessary documents for certificate renewal through the IFIA member office for the current year and after years of receiving the INV title certificate. Otherwise, due to the inactivity of the INV title holder, the issued certificate will be invalid and will be removed from the IFIA archive documents.
- If the applicant meets all the criteria to receive this title, it is ultimately the IFIA Secretariat that can reject or accept the application at its discretion.(IFIA Secretariat can invalidate and remove the provided INV title certificate at any time it deems necessary.)
