- Leone's outfit is a little revealing
- Partial nudity can occur in some scenes. Women can be seen nude, but with no personal parts exposed. It's all skin and little to no cleavage and no lower private parts.
- Only one scene shows a woman's buttocks for a brief moment after she removes her dress. Non sexual and quick.
- Both Esdeath and Leone shove Tatsumi's face into their big breasts as a sign of affection towards him.
- Sexual content, sexual references and some partial nudity throughout. Moderate.

- Some fight scenes including swords, imperial arms, and magical weapons. Some blood is seen.
- Excessive extreme fantasy violence throughout, (blood and excessive gore, body horror, dead bodies, torture, hangings, executions, dismemberment, and decapitation). Many scenes of characters fighting to the death in gory battles. Characters get cut into pieces with various weapons such as slashed, stabbed, dismembered, bisected, and excessive amounts of blood are shown.

- A girl's decapitated head is displayed in public and the head is clearly shown on-screen. The scene can upset many viewers.

Violence & Gore
- One of the main characters is teleported to an abyss. Later, he gets teleported into mid-air and falls down upon several spears. Blood spills off his body.
- Towards the end of the series one the characters heads is cut off and put on display. This is a very bloody scene since it's shown close up and detailed
- The rebels execute Honest by mutilating him to death, freeing the people from his tyranny.
- After Seryu was bisected by a fatally wounded Mine, she was still alive and was scorched alive by her own suicide nuclear bomb in a attempt to Kill Mine, but she was saved by tatsumi
- Mine has a very harsh cold-hearted personality to Tatsumi and her allies. But she warms up to him when he rescues her from Seryu's suicide nuclear bomb.
- Numerous bisecting, decapitating, and body horror is shown through the series, there's even an attempted suicide bombing at one point.
- One of the main character usually attacked her enemy on the neck, and it mostly ended with a bloody result. A guard's neck is bleeding profusely after being struck by a blade, including 3 other assassins in an another episode that also had their neck slashed following from another person as well, all attacked and slain by the same girl.
- A pair of ordinary citizen was struck down by a vicious killer, and had their head ripped off. The same killer also decapitated two guard, and it was implied that he is used to be a guard for a prison. Most of the prisoner are on death term, and they were all killed through the method of decapitation by the aforementioned guard. It has served to be his main hobby, and due to the lust, he'd escaped the prison he was in charged in and attacked the innocent instead.
- A wagon was stopped in the middle of the road by assassins, and the guard were all killed in a single slash. Blood pour down from whence they stand and their body part later could be seen littered through the road. A girl was injured and were also slashed but survived and were on her knees. She was approached by another assassin later on.It was believed that her face's skin were carved off, as the killer had mentioned doing so and the anime had displayed a small portion of her face in the mouth area which appeared to have no skin. An old man's head was cut off and flied through midair, and he was said to be the father of the dead girl earlier.
- A girl had severed a man's neck that released heavy phial of blood in order to protect her friend. The same girl later on encountered numerous allies of the killed man and massacred them all with a single knife.
- In one of the most intense battle yet during the earlier stage of the anime, two girl fought against another girl with a living weapon that shaped like a dog. The weapon changed into a massive creature. Throughout their battle, the dog suffered extreme realistic injuries but easily regenerated and healed it's wound. The dog almost crushed a girl before her friend assisted by cutting off the arm that grabbed her. The enemy that controlled the dog had her hand cut off beforehand and blood sprayed heavily on such a point. As the battle is nearing it's climax, a main character was shot in the chest, immobilized and were split into two upon being bitten by the ferocious weapon. No intestines or any organs are sketched but the scenes afterward are very dramatic and hard to watch.
- A single enemy was shot in the chest with a weapon that is capable of firing a sort of beam and a large hole had formed. No blood is shown but he did coughed blood afterward in a small amount and died due to the damage.
- Had their guard killed beforehand, a rich family was stalked by hired killer. The mother is sliced in the stomach with a huge pair of scissor with her arm also cut off. The father had his neck snapped and the daughter's stomach is slashed. Except for the father's death, thick blood are showered to the ground during their death scenes.
- Another enemy had fallen into a trap of sharp wires. The ensnared girl had cut all over her body and bleeding.The one manipulating the wires tightened the grip on the girl's body and killed the subject. Although being short, it is an intense scene due to the girl's begging for help and the realistic blood and sound effect being used.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A lot of the protagonists as well as the antagonists die throughout the series. It gets severely intense and emotional when the good characters die.
- Mine's past shows how she was severely abused on the streets for her half-foreign blood, showing that she is a victim of racism.
- Prime Minister Honest is considered one of the worst characters since he is responsible for ruling the nation with an iron first.
- Seryu is one of the worst, most terrifying characters ever due to her genocidal and hypocritical personality, insanity, and insane laughter when murdering her victims.
- The anime is packed with brutal fighting sequences and the explicit amount of violence displayed may exceed some viewers' expectations. It is a disturbing series with severe amount of dark theme played at hand and it isn't afraid to kill off many of the main characters as the story progresses, which may surprise viewers. However, the main character's death scene is very dramatic and bloody.
