All About Johnny
Johnny Bryant has been immersed in the sewing industry since 1973. His journey began in a factory where he worked with cloth and repaired sewing machines. Over the years, Johnny honed his skills and expertise, progressing from working with garments like shirts, dresses, and jeans to becoming the head mechanic in a factory producing fleece apparel.
After the factory closure due to NAFTA, Johnny joined a distributor in Charlotte, NC, where he continued to repair and set up equipment. His talent caught the attention of Brother International Corp., and he was offered a position as a Technical Engineer. This role took him across the USA, Canada, and Latin America, providing equipment setup and service for the company.
At a significant turning point in his career, Johnny was given the opportunity to join the newly formed H.A.D. Division, which focused on supporting Home Sewing Machines. With his expertise, Johnny excelled in this role for over 20 years, playing a vital part in releasing several new Brother products, including the PR SERIES Machines.
In March 2015, Johnny and Donna took over the business from their close friend Jim Stratton, who handpicked them as his successors. They finalized the sale and moved the company to a new location in Febuary of the same year. Today, Jim's Sewing Center thrives under their leadership, providing top-quality products, exceptional service, and a welcoming, family-oriented environment.
