Voter guide: Missouri municipal elections on April 2, 2024

What voters around St. Louis need to know about voting.

ST. LOUIS —

Municipal elections in Missouri end April 2 and people in St. Louis County, Jefferson County, Franklin County, Lincoln County and around the state are set to cast ballots.

Hot races on the ballot include several contested mayoral races, ballot proposals, board of alderman races and city council races.

5 On Your Side has partnered with the League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis to provide nonpartisan information on candidates and ballot measures. The League of Women Voters and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch partner to create the Voter Guide, both online and in print.

The League of Women Voters powers Vote411.org. Voters can plug in their address and see what is on their ballot, learn about registering to vote, and find polling places.

When/where to vote in Missouri

Polls will be open for in-person voting from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Before you go, make sure to verify your voter registration status and find your designated polling location before April 2 to avoid any unexpected issues. 

To cast your ballot on Election Day, Missouri law now requires you to show an acceptable form of photo identification. If you’re a registered voter but don’t bring a photo ID with you, you may cast a provisional ballot instead. Provisional ballots will be only counted if you return later that day with an ID or if election officials verify your signature.
