Michael Ehrhardt
President

Michael was born in Warren, Ohio and then moved to El Paso, Texas where he graduated from High School. In 1989, he moved to Austin and earned a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas. During his last year of college and until the Spring of 2011, he worked for J.C. Evans Construction. After that, he gained more experience at A Greater Austin Development, Ranger Excavating, DNT, and C.C. Carlton.

 

Then, in the Summer of 2016, he started Liberty Civil Construction, LLC. Michael has been on the Board of Directors of the Austin Contractors and Engineers Association since 2007 and served as its President in 2010-2011.

Heath Haney
Vice President

Heath developed his strong work ethic while working for his uncle in the early part of his career. He truly started from the ground up as a laborer with Tridal Ltd and worked his way up. Through his hard work, he became a Superintendent before leaving the company.

 

That experience plays a big role in his management style. Heath quickly realized the importance of interpersonal relationships within a construction company and works diligently to create a family-like atmosphere at Liberty Civil Construction.

Before partnering with Mike at Liberty Civil Construction, Heath served as Vice President of Operations for 5 years at a local civil construction company. Due to his diverse background and experience, he has the ability to manage large and technically challenging projects and complete them on schedule and within budget.

 

Heath has been married to his wife Ginger for 11 years, and has 4 children: Garrett, Wyatt, Savannah, and Caitlin.

Ace Dickehut
Director of Estimating

Ace was raised in Central Texas. He developed his passion and knowledge for the civil construction industry and strong work ethic working with and learning from both his Grandfather and Uncle since the start of his career.Ace stared his full-time career as a laborer and worked his way up the ladder. He is currently a Sr. Estimator for Liberty Civil Construction. His job includes developing cost estimates for Single Family, Multi-Family, Commercial and Site Projects, as well as negotiating contracts and consulting with engineers and developers.Ace is an avid outdoorsman and has been married to his wife Charity for 24 years. They have two grown children, Sarah and Hunter.

Steve Louden
Director of Project Management

Steve Louden has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years, providing him experience leading major projects on highways and subdivisions. Most notably, Steve led several initiatives to improve I-35 through Texas.  He has worked as an office engineer, estimator, project manager, and is currently a director of project management at Liberty Civil. Steve grew in up in the Midwest working construction, leading him to attend college with a degree in Construction Management. He then traveled throughout the country building major transportation projects prior to relocating to Austin.

Steve enjoys fishing, car racing and has been married to his wife Susan for 32 years and have one son Austin.

Margie Ortiz
Director of Accounting & Administration

Margie began her career as a receptionist and then worked her way up to Accounts Payable, HR and Payroll, Contract Administration, and Accounts Receivable. She has compiled a diverse amount of experience during her 12 years in the construction industry. Margie is one of the original employees of Liberty Civil Construction and is a valued member of the team. Margie is the proud mother of two beautiful children, Laila & Silver. She has been with her partner Josh for 12 years. In her free time, she likes to read, watch movies, exercise, and hang out with friends and family.

Stacy Small
Contract Administrator

Stacy began her career in construction when working for a nation-wide homebuilder in 2003. From there she expanded her knowledge and experience by working in the stormwater compliance field for several years, before settling in with a local general contractor and then arriving at Liberty Civil Construction in 2018. Stacy’s attention to detail and unwavering commitment to develop personable and positive relationships with our clients, is an asset to a company that prides itself on its reputation in the industry. Stacy actively handles dual roles in Contract Management and Accounts Receivable. When not at work, Stacy likes to spend time with Jimmy, her husband of 17 years, going for a weekend motorcycle ride around the hill country, but most of her free time is spent with her fur-babies, Julie, Jax, Jake and Chloe. Stacy also works with the non-profit organization Flying Disc Dogs of Austin (proudly sponsored by Liberty Civil Construction), where she not only volunteers her time, but takes the field with Jake to compete.

Morris Bailey
Sr. Project Manager

Morris has been in a supervisor role throughout most of his professional career. In that role, he's supervised crews on many projects across the state of Texas. He has been responsible for all aspects of construction, including the installation of water and waste water mains, street construction that included excavation and embankment, subgrade, flexible base, concrete curb and gutter, pavement, storm sewer systems and drainage structure installation, and project management that included maintaining project records, scheduling and ordering materials, and record keeping to ensure that each project was successful. Morris has been very successful serving as the project liaison for all communications with stakeholders in a project, including regulatory authorities such as Federal, State, County, and Local officials. The extensive knowledge and experience that he earned during his 20+ years in construction is brought forward into each project that he directs and supervises, which helps ensure that those projects are successful.

Easton Johnson
Assistant Project Manager

Easton Johnson was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Prior to working at Liberty Civil, Easton worked in the oilfield industry as an operator and roofing in sales, estimation, and project management. He attended The University of Texas at Arlington where he played baseball for three years and graduated with a Kinesiology degree. In his free time, Easton enjoys bass fishing in tournaments, hunting, and participating in sports.

Chris Mallia
Survey Manager

Chris has been in the survey/construction industry for 18+ years after moving to Austin from the Galveston area. He started his career as a rod man and worked his way up the survey ladder. He began his time at Liberty Civil in 2018 as the survey manager. Chris enjoys spending his free time with his family at the lake, on a golf course and coaching on a baseball or football field.

Cameron Chodacki
Estimator

Cameron grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Central Texas as a teenager with his family where he later attended college at Angelo State University and working for IBM as an intern. He then began a professional career in construction after completing school with a communications degree. Cameron has worked as both a Junior Estimator and an Estimator for the past four years at Liberty Civil Construction. His job included and currently includes doing takeoffs, creating cost estimates for subdivisions and site jobs.  

In his free time Cameron works on cars and spends time relaxing at the Domain. 

Frank Chodacki
CTO and Director of Information Technology

Born and raised in and around Chicago IL, Frank arrived in the Austin area in 2002 when the IBM corporation bought the startup company he was working for at the time. With over 30 years of enterprise, cloud and virtualization computing and network experience, Frank came to Liberty to spearhead its growth in all aspects technology adaptation. During his tenure at IBM as a Sr. Virtualization Cloud Architect / Engineer, he worked directly with IBM's largest global customers prior to coming to Liberty Civil. Outside of IT work, Frank enjoys wrenching on anything electrical or mechanical, drinking fine tequilas and playing saxophone with various bands.
