Mr. Zubair CHOUDHRY, President of RPA Canada had an important meeting with Colombian accounting profession regulators today at the Canadian Embassy to discuss the bilateral relationship in promoting the accounting profession and RPA designation for Colombian professional accountants. It was a good first step to explore the collaboration between Canada and Colombia, said Mr. Jesus Maria Peña, Executive from the Central Board of Accountants. Meeting was also attended by Javeriana University professors, Natalia Andrea Baracaldo Lozano; Medhat Endrawes, and Marta Lilliana Arias. Alejandro Velez, RPA Canada office Manager assisted Mr. Choudhry in translating English speech into Spanish language. Ms. Magali Buffet, Canadian Trade Commissioner facilitated the meeting. RPA Canada is committed to support and provide any assistance that Colombian accounting regulators may require to establish the accounting designation for Colombian accountants, said Zubair Choudhry, President of RPA Canada.
