Bluewater Defense is a leading manufacturer of uniforms and equipage for the United States Department of Defense. Over the past 30 years, the Company has focused on manufacturing labor intensive, sewn items, per military specifications - successfully completing 75 large contracts, totaling nearly $1B in revenue. Bluewater Defense has produced more than 20 million units spread across various items in multi-year contracts, including 7.2 million combat trousers, 5.8 million coats, 4.6 million duffel bags and approximately 1.0 million GEN III extreme cold weather parka’s and trousers. In addition to its contribution as a prime contractor, the Company has also provided significant manufacturing support for Patagonia, New Balance, Drifire, W. L. Gore, Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. (“ADS”), KDH Defense Systems, Inc., Protective Products Enterprises (“PPE”) and other key vendors supporting the defense industry. Today, Bluewater Defense is mass producing the Army Combat Uniform Trousers - this contract is one of the largest and most important in the industry. Bluewater Defense is a Puerto Rico based company, currently operating with 560 employees in a five-building campus located in Corozal, Puerto Rico. In 2016, the Bluewater Defense developed a joint venture with Advancia Technologies to create Potawatomi Defense, Inc., a Native American 8(a) specializing in manufacturing military apparel.
