The countdown has officially begun! In just one week, on Monday, November 13th, I'm excited to announce that I'll be a guest speaker at the Project Management Institute (PMI) Atlanta event. During my talk, I'll be sharing valuable insights and lessons learned from my journey – from navigating the corporate landscape to achieving executive status before turning 40, to embarking on a path of entrepreneurship and strategic consulting. I'll delve into the courage it takes to venture into uncharted territory and the wealth of experience I've gained along the way, which I'm leveraging to ensure my ongoing success. It's a fantastic opportunity for networking, and I'm truly honored to be sharing the stage with Seth Miller, a retired Marine. Seth will be shedding light on how military experience can be leveraged to become a thriving business leader. #ThankYouVeterans I'm looking forward to connecting with many of you at this event, and I hope to see you there! #PMIAtlanta Johnetta Dillard Kashif Choudry Bob Morgan Guidacent, Inc.

#Guidacent These past couple of months at Guidacent have been a whirlwind, but the last few weeks have taken it up a notch! #WICT It all started with an incredible experience at the WICT Annual Leadership Conference in the heart of NYC. Big kudos to everyone who attended, your insights and contributions are priceless. I also want to extend my gratitude to my dear friends and mentors for their unwavering support in my personal and professional journey. Let's keep pushing boundaries, breaking glass ceilings, and rising as leaders! #ServiceNow Next up, I had the privilege of heading to Canada with the ServiceNow team. It was eye-opening to witness the magic that unfolds when an outstanding product is led by exceptional leadership. I also gained some valuable lessons on the power of branding along the way. #EckerdCollege Last but certainly not least, there's my alma mater, Eckerd College, a place that's close to my heart. Supporting its mission to change the world through education means the world to me. Huge thanks to Guidacent for being with me every step of the way, and a special shoutout to my boss, who I convinced to join me on this journey last night and @FernJohnson for always inspiring me to be a better version of myself #CareerSisters

*Important Update* Ransomware Attack In Dallas? A recent ransomware attack in Dallas, Texas, has impacted numerous organizations, emphasizing the need for robust cybersecurity plans, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) planning. This post will discuss the significance of BIA and BCDR in mitigating ransomware attacks and provide a call to action to review your current BIA. Mitigating Ransomware Attacks: Key Steps To protect your organization from ransomware attacks, consider these crucial steps: 1. Educate and train employees: Regularly inform them about phishing emails, suspicious attachments, and ransomware delivery methods. 2. Keep software and systems updated: Ensure all software, including operating systems and antivirus solutions, are up-to-date with the latest patches. 3. Regular backups: Implement a backup schedule and store copies of critical data on- and off-site to recover from an attack without paying the ransom. 4. Network segmentation: Limit the spread of ransomware within your systems. 5. Access controls: Implement strict controls for sensitive data and limit the number of users with administrative privileges. The Role of BIA and BCDR in Ransomware Attacks A BIA identifies critical functions, processes, and potential impacts of a ransomware attack, allowing organizations to prioritize cybersecurity efforts and allocate resources effectively. A BCDR plan provides a roadmap for recovery, ensuring continuity of critical operations. This plan should include incident response procedures, communication strategies, recovery plans for critical systems and data, and regular testing and updating. Why does this matter and what should you do? The Dallas ransomware attack highlights the importance of having a comprehensive cybersecurity plan, including a thorough BIA. As a call to action, we urge you to review your current BIA and ensure it effectively addresses the risks and vulnerabilities associated with ransomware attacks. By doing so, you can significantly reduce the risk and be better prepared to respond and recover if an attack occurs. #cybersecurity #business #data #communication #ransomware #ransomwareprotection #ransomwarerecovery
