I am an experienced Senior Manager with a demonstrated successful history of working in the marine energy and trade inspection industry. Skilled and at home in either operations or executive management, with a passionate drive for integrity, safety, and exceeding expectations whether they be internal or external. Equally motivated as a self-starter or as a team player, and a believer in success starts with hiring the right people, hence investment in the early stages of employment (attitude often trumps aptitude given the basics are present). My initial 13 years at sea, and having a Master's Foreign-going Class I Certificate prior to joining SGS, gives me the professional experience to understand and appreciate the vessel's side of legal issues and problems, as well as the technical know-how to investigate and help resolve the complexities brought about by ever-changing regulations.

After a short break, and armed with good health, a wealth of worldly experience, wisdom, and knowledge, I am currently involved with consulting, technical proof-reading, and recently presented on-site training and refresher courses to Refinery field staff in a Caribbean Island. I am available to perform similar work globally, plus giving additional presentations on technical aspects of marine measurement, the importance of integrity, safety, and proof-reading technical papers and reports.
After working for SGS as an Inspector in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, for 6 months, I was asked to open up a new Branch in Jubail on my own. I was then promoted to Operations Manager of the Arabian Peninsula (offices in Saudi, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Kuwait, Djibouti, Oman & UAE). After working for SGS as an Inspector in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, for 6 months, I was asked to open up a new Branch in Jubail on my own. I grew this over the space of 6 years to our largest Branch in the Arabian Peninsula with a Lab and a staff of 25. I was then promoted to Operations Manager of the Arabian Peninsula (offices in Saudi, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Kuwait, Djibouti, Oman & UAE). Following this I became the General Manager of the UAE with 5 different business lines including Oil Gas & Chemicals, the one I had worked for until then. 4 years later I was promoted to Managing Director in charge of our Pakistan Affiliate. Due to internal unrest in the country, after some tome I moved to Dubai to manage the country business, and then eventually transferred to India and then to Geneva, our Corporate Head Office, to work. Whilst awaiting another executive position, a temporary GKAM (Global Key Account Manager) job came up in the USA for our largest global energy client which I took for 6 months and ended up liking it, hence I stayed .... for 18 years, growing this business and developing the previously held concepts of the role of Account Manager.
