It's no secret that this time of year can feel like a hard slog. It's the middle of the year, the weather's getting colder, and for those of us not jetting off to Europe for a holiday break, the thought of feeling motivated at work can be downright exhausting! My advice? Go back to basics. Start simple, and focus on what truly matters. Take a moment to realign with your core values and priorities. Remember why you started on this career path in the first place. Instead of getting overwhelmed by the external factors, let's shift our perspective inward. Here's a little reminder to: 🌟 Cultivate gratitude for the opportunities and progress you've made so far. 🌟 Reconnect with your passion and purpose, infusing it into your daily tasks. 🌟 Seek small wins and celebrate them as stepping stones to bigger achievements. 🌟 Nurture a supportive network that uplifts and inspires you. 🌟 Embrace self-care practices that recharge and restore your energy. Let's share. What can you add to this list of classic life learnings called Rooneyisms, stated by none other than Andy Rooney himself. I'll start. Our ability to thrive, in whatever area we desire, is primarily influenced by the quality of our thoughts. ▶ That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person. ▶ That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day. ▶ That being kind is more important than being right. ▶ That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand. ▶ That money doesn't buy class. ▶ That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular. ▶ That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and heard.  ▶ That to ignore the facts does not change the facts. ▶ That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you. ▶ That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am. ▶ That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss. ▶ That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Curiosity is attractive. It makes you a more interesting person. It fuels a passion for life. It helps the world be a more fun and joyful place.
