I am a travel agent and I am a copywriter. And every once in a while I come across a travel website and think “Wow, I wish had written that copy.” My Arbor is a family run tree hotel in the South Tyrol, and I can’t decide whether the hotel or the copy used to describe the hotel is the more awesome. If you’ve ever heard the expression “We put the client at the heart of everything we do,” check out their website to see how your copy really can resonate with your client. Everything they do is about the client, not about themselves. Even the name “My Arbor” declares that this is a hotel for you, the guest. Your first sight of the hotel will take your breath away. A structure on stilts nestled high up among the trees with a backdrop of mountains. This is your place to be among the trees. The trees here are not just physical, but also metaphysical. We need to be tree-like with strong roots well planted. With nurture we grow, and we grow better with space around us, reaching ever upwards to beyond the clouds. This is a wellness space like no other. The team who help you grow are “possibiliators” and “wish fulfillers.” Even the description of the team is about how the team help you, and not about them, even down to the smallest details. Food is about the taste and sensations you will feel. The copy barely describes the food itself, but it doesn’t need to, you know that it will be just right, just what you want, because this is your arbor. An arbor is defined as a structure which  provides natural shelter and privacy. This is your arbor, a place to come and grow, to stretch yourself, to become alive to your possibilities. The copy tells you just enough, but leaves you with a sense that there is so much more. It lays down the dots, but you will have to join them when you visit. And you know you will visit, if not now, then soon, because this is your special space.
