Just. One. Word. Yes, I chose my word of the year for 2024. An exercise from coach Debbie Shadid and the book, "One Word That Will Change Your Life" guided me to discover my word by answering questions about what I need, what I don't need, and what does living out this word look like for me. The book is an easy 45-minute read/listen. Here’s a few most important quotes from it. “When you know the WHY behind the word, you’ll have greater power to live it, and share it. The WHY is always more important than the what.” “Simplicity when done right will always bring impact.” “Narrow focus brings broad impact.” The word I thought I was going to select became a different word by the time I wrote through the questions. It was a valuable process. So drumroll....my 2024 word is CLARITY. My reasons for it will remain my own, posted on a pretty page above my computer so I can be reminded often.
