MAKO TKA 2.0 software has now arrived at the Kepler University Hospital, Alps Republic of Austria - I love that the usage of intra-incisional pin placement is not off-Label any more. - Surgical wounds can no longer be distinguished from conventional TKA. - Besides that, it is almost the same workflow that my friend Antonio and I were used to, but now we don't have to remember the numbers and double-check because it is wonderfully visualized on the OR screen. - It's great to see that our workflow, combined with surface mapping, made sense to Stryker as well. - Thanks to #MPS Philipp Kremsmair for the straightforward change to TKA 2.0. - It's intuitive, and it will make sense to my colleagues as well. Global Head, Clinical Affairs & Strategy leading neuro clinical evidence and cutting-edge neurotechnology innovation
Early Feasibility Studies (EFS) in the Neurovascular space Vastrax The Jacobs Institute Adnan Siddiqui, MD, PhD, FACS, FAHA, FAANS Early feasibility studies in medical devices are crucial for several reasons: 1. Risk Mitigation: They help identify potential technical and clinical challenges early in the development process, reducing the likelihood of costly failures later. 2. Safety Evaluation: Ensures that the device is safe for human use, prioritizing patient well-being. 3. Proof of Concept: Validates the basic functionality and potential clinical benefits of the device. 4. Resource Allocation: Helps manufacturers decide where to allocate resources by assessing the viability and potential marketability of the device. 5. Regulatory Pathway: Provides early data that can be critical for discussions with regulatory agencies, streamlining approvals. 6. Stakeholder Confidence: Demonstrates to stakeholders, investors, and partners that the device has been rigorously tested and holds promise. 7. Design Improvements: Feedback from these studies can guide refinements and optimization before large-scale manufacturing. 8. Cost Efficiency: Identifying and addressing challenges early can prevent costly redesigns or recalls after market introduction. Together, these underline the value of early feasibility studies in ensuring the success, safety, and effectiveness of medical devices. #NVclinicaltrials #neurovascular #neurosurgery #clinicaltrials
