Last Thursday, our advisor Steven Vandeput, PhD., participated in the WHO Regional Office for Europe's webinar on #digitalhealth reimbursement. A perfect opportunity to highlight this brand new report, don't you think? In it, WHO Europe offers a snapshot of the state of digital health in its 53 member states, focusing on seven themes: 👉 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: regulatory frameworks, funding sources, digital health literacy, etc. 👉 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 (#EHR): adoption status, interconnectivity with other systems, use in primary, secondary & tertiary healthcare, functionalities, etc. 👉 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀: online portals that provide patients with secure and real-time access to their personal health records 👉 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀: maturity of telehealth services or programmes 👉 #mHealth 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀: #mobilehealth activities 👉 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: government-sponsored apps, health and wellness apps, etc. 👉 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵: policies regarding the utilisation of big data in healthcare, governance of big data use, interoperability, etc. This is a great reference work for anyone who wants to compare the digital health status of different countries. We will delve into it further and share our insights with you later. But please don't wait for us to start digging already !
