Today many family’s are choosing to just #Elope #Elopement #Handfast #Wedding in a #TinyGathering instead of a big #Wedding. *** 💗Yes … We got married! ❤️We had a tiny ceremony. The only ones with us was a friend that is a Professional Wedding Officiant along with our parents & a friend as our required witnesses. Now the Questions & Answers: 🧡Q: Married? Did I miss you two being engaged? A: Nope! We skipped the engagement completely. 💛Q: Didn’t I hear you talking once of having a big wedding party? A: Yes, but with COVID we didn’t feel we could safely have the kind of event we wanted. So we decided to have the legal commitment to each other now to get that part dealt with. We still plan to have another ceremony & party with all of our family/friends when we feel it is safer to do so. 💚Q: Why didn’t you mention you were getting married? A: We couldn’t think of any way to say “We’re getting married, no you can’t come.” that didn’t feel rude. Also, we would have wanted to invite everyone we told, which would have caused this to spiral into something much bigger. 💙Q: How long have you been planning this? A: A little over a month. Though many do this in much less time with the guidance of a Professional Wedding Officiant. 💜Q: Do you have honeymoon plans? A: Yes. In two weeks we are road tripping to NY state to spend some time together, we’ll also be doing a treasure hunt rally as part of our honeymoon. 🖤Q: Are you registered anywhere? A: No. We are not lacking for stuff, nor do we want/expect people who we didn’t even invite to buy us stuff. If you really want to give something, make a donation to a local food bank or homeless shelter in our names. There are a lot of people hurting out there, and that would mean more to us than any gifts. Though some may really want to ‘gift us’ then money & gift cards are helpful to use as we may to need versus more ‘stuff’. We thank everyone that just wishes us well though in reality. So thank you for the love light and joy you send us. 🤍Q: Are either of you changing your names? Though in some states you both can change names, talk with your Professional Wedding Officiant before you apply for your Marriage License. A: We have no plans to. Many do not change due to the amount of things that will need to be changed and they are already established under their own or current names. 🤎Q: So does this mean you two are finally settling down? A: No just that this was the right decision for us and we are so very happy.
